Title: Swedish Movies
Post by: Dr Sadako on August 06, 2008, 07:53:06 AM
I am sure most of you have heard of Ingmar Bergman but there are other good Swedish movies made as well. I just browsed what HMV had and I can recommend two non-Bergman movies if you are interested.

Together (Swedish title: Tillsammans) (http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=285;5;-1;-1&sku=764680) Review (http://movies.nytimes.com/movie/212234/Together/overview) IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0338309/)

and

Evil (Swedish title: Ondskan) £5 (http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=285;5;-1;-1&sku=592446) or £15 (http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=285;5;-1;-1&sku=416230) Review (http://movies.nytimes.com/movie/289482/Evil/overview) Trailer (http://movies.nytimes.com/movie/289482/Evil/trailers) IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0203166/)

The first is a comedy and the second one is more of a Drama. Well worth the look if you are interested.

All the Swedish movies I've ever seen have featured either a plumber or a TV repair man...
