I want a clean LAN this Oct with no illegal software of any kind. No sharing of dodgey DVD/VCD/MP3's , no leeching on the LAN, LAN only to be used for killing purposes ONLY.
On the lighter side, can I borrow UT2 and 3 plus all the MODS that you all seem to have. I will of course delete all associated illegal copy's from ma computer after the LAN.

Here Smilodon you have a basic outline of what to bring fro the LAN.
Computer - VIRUS FREE. Last thing you do before packing up the computer is to do a complete virus scan. Do you not have a virus checker get one or you might as well leave the computer at home. If your PC infects the other PCs at the LAN then just remember that the lynch party will outnumber you by about 30-1. Against such odds, not even lube will help you. :D

Headset/headphones/mic - No speakers please. There will be enough noise there anyway.

Yeah if everyone can at least install their NIC with the latest drivers from the manufactureres webby and make sure it shows up in Device Manager it would be a good start. Also keep a folder with the drivers local on the HDD in case of emergencies :D .

well ive been to several lans with my current config of network card etc and it runs fine so im not touching it, i may break it.
Right now I have no nic, just a pc with the standard gubbins in the back.
