The game is worth going back to finish, the end of the story is superb & the pretty graphics are stunning.  Also worth playing "Extraction Point" & ""Perseus Mandate".
I eagerly await the new game.

Graphics are not that good tbh, levels are a bit empty compared to some of the more recent shooters (or even some of the older like HL2 and Doom3) but i agree on the story. One of the best horror games i played, allthough i think the origional game is king, the expension packs tell to much (or attempt to).

Aye, the game was awesome, but kinda needed to be about 1/2 the length. The first and last 1/4s were awesome, full of atmosphere. The middle 1/2 was generic shooter-in-an-office gameplay, and I for one could have done with it being far far shorter. By the time the cool horror elements were back I had almost got to the point of getting bored and giving up.

Unfortunately I have found reports online that the FEAR engine objects to Logitech devices. Not sure if it's the devices themselves, or the Logitech drivers, or what, but people running them get really bad framerates. As seen when I ran the stress test on this shiny new Quad Core with a 4870 with all setting turned right down, and got min FPS 8, max FPS 9...

All 3? Did they make a second expansion? Shall have to go hunt that down if so.

I think there was Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate as the two expansion packs.
