Title: Blackwood chicanes
Post by: Doorman on October 04, 2008, 02:40:11 AM
You thought my straw bales were bad, just wait until Blackwood is chosen again. I've made a chicane (immovable) along the main straight. Say goodbye to PBs for that week! :norty: That's normal or reversed, there is no escape! Muhahaha, or however it's spelt.

hmmm, The silence of the lambs  :D

I guess Blackwood is next track?

I'll try anything, could be interesting. Maybe even Like a new track?  Plus it will be worth it just to see every new comers suprise at Rons alterations :D

Tryed it. Was quite fun. Added 3 stacks of tyres to be used as braking point markers (otherwise hard to remember when to brake). Did not save.

I think the chicane doesn't need so much barriers. Wouldn't one line which stops going straight be enough?

Yeah, but it would look dreadful. :)

Maybe if I put a ramp in. It would save having to make steering and braking inputs. Wheeeeeeee!, straight over the top. :lmfao:

Tried the BL Chicane for the first time last night. I have to say I like it:D
Make sit into a whole new track and it looks beautiful with all those blue tires.

One question: on exit of the chicane if you hug the tires you are on grass, is this deliberate or not? Makes the chicane that much more interesting to be sure:D

Could we have the layout please? For offline testing?

Indeed. I like it that way though, as it adds another twist. (actually it could add both a twist, spin and backflip if you're not careful. :D)

No it wasn't deliberate nor was the exposed grass on the entry (right side) but it does make it interesting eh? :norty:

The layout can be saved from in-game,

Press Shift+U
press Space to show view controls (if not on already)
Save buton on the bottom right.

Or, if you log in as Admin,
type '/axsave chicane'  (or whatever you want to call it).

Layouts show up on the track selection screen.

It's good now with the tires, not so punishing, and the grass makes you want to stay away from them anyway.

Well your little chicane seems to be popular! Lots of drivers on yesterday night. :)

He talks about the size of his member alot,  so I think the "T" stands for "Tosser" or is it Todder in English speak?:D
