I love this combo. LX6 is a great car, but what really makes me feel good about this is the fresh new BL layout.
I've been thinking about combo ratings for a few weeks. I'm suggesting that we all give a rating to the combo, but not too early in the week. My point is that then each new season we would pick at least one favorite combo from previous seasons to be used again.
There are combos that feel dull at first, like FO8@SO, that in the end are drivable, but that I would not mind to try again. Then there are these god-given (Ron) combos like the current one, that are so good, that they deserve to be used again and again. Ratings would help us to remember what was good.
Ratings:
Best combos would get 5 and dullest ones 1.
Good idea. :thumbsup2:
I like this voting idea.
How many points does a combo need to get to make it to the 'cool wall'? Average 4.0 min?
I think this layout is great! It adds a nice twist (quite literally) to an already great combo. :)
I think I can say without fear of contraception, that this has been the most popular combo ever. Every night so far we've been full or close to full. It must mean that the vast majority of people are gagging for new content. C'mon Eric, get scribbling!

If they disabled GTRs on Aston National I bet we'd see some interesting new combos being populated online! :D Seriously, why is everyone driving that combo.. :g:
We're probably a bit too insular here. I have no idea what are the in combos.
Well, I found out it is quite unpopular in the AI circles...:lmfao:

So finishes one of the busiest weeks we've ever had. :D A good race with it's fair share of ecstasy and agony but we all came out alive! Praise be! :yahoo:
I have a feeling that next week won't be so hectic.
That was quick, thanks Romus. :)
I've never been very good in defensive driving, but this time the last laps I managed to hold my position. Gnomie and Dee were faster, but it was their fault being behind me. :D I wonder how did you get there.
Then the fight with Deetz. It was so good. As long as it lasted my all concentration was just on staying close and to possibly find a way to regain my position. When he discoed it was like the air was blown out of me. I had to go to pits and get a new start for the race. At that moment Dee and Gnomie were about 7 seconds behind me. I could do low 27's but could not improve.
Can racing get any better? If it can then so be it, but this was something that will stay in my mind for a long time to come.
Thanks to oldbloke for helping me to get some of my G25 controls back so i could at least race tonight, most kind sir:D,
had to race with the ffb motor cutting in and out through the hole race which caused a bit of a problem in the corners, the 2 buttons on the wheel would not work what so ever hence could not reply on vent, anyway in the end i had to go for a system restore, i had earlier in the day assigned a load of keys to that n52te for farcry 2 and to be honest it worked quite well, but when i then tried the G25 all hell broke loose.:ranting2:
That was a terrific race yesterday! :) I got a lucky lap in quali, but I knew that I wouldn't be able to hold off the guys behind me, who had been consistently faster than me during the week. So I took it easy on the first few laps, not defending too fiercely. However I think I was a bit too kind, because I dropped from 7th to 13th or 14th (can't remember) in the first couple of laps. But gradually I found my pace and started working my way back up again.
Dee came out of pits a few seconds behind me, and he was catching on me as I was catching on Romus. The last couple of laps were an absolute blast!! I was trying to overtake Romus but couldn't find a gap. As we were fighting Dee caught up with us and passed me after the straight on the second to last lap. Very close, nice racing! :) Both Dee and I got new PBs in the process.
Well done everyone.
What an Arse I am, oh well at least I need to remember I performed, well just needed 1% more and 3rd was mine.
Lets see what next weeks brings to the table, its a shame as I realise this morning I'd have gone top of the quarterly table.
Hmm still time yet.
P.S note to brain if running out of fuel on last lap don't exit the game and I'll still get a placing. Oh and to dish out a lack of sympathy to others when they need it, thats a good one. :narnar:
Well done all good stuff
Finally managed to participate in a long race again after a long time. Boy I'm glad I did, excellent combo.
I think I was lucky to do a pb in quali, so I could start in front of Sean and Dee, which was important because from the previous nights' races I knew they are on the same pace or even faster than me. But for this very same reason I also was very nervous knowing they will put much pressure on me.
After the start at the chicane I was side by side with n!Veiti, we collided and he spun. I wasn't sure if it was my mistake or not, so I went on. After the race I watched the replay and found that he hit the tyres which threw his car into mine. Bad luck. :(
Dee passed me after the incident, but I managed to repass him at the end of the lap. As they were fighting with each other, I slowly started to pull away. After that not much happened.
Grats to Moose and everyone! :)
PS: FZ5 at KY NAT, oooh, I like that as well!
Race spoilt because of guilt for tapping Oldie going through the chicane on lap one. :sad:However on carefully checking the replay today, having the Stewards express an opinion, lo & behold, I discovered that I was guilty as hell. :doh:My apologies, Oldies not had the best of luck on lap1 for the past few weeks.
I was also at fault for sliding into StableX on lap 4? when I thought I was well ahead going into the turn, but was wrong again.
Senility is my excuse and one I'll be using for the rest of my natural.
Well done Moose and comiserations to all those who discoed

NP Bob. It was the gentlest of taps but LFS decided it should spin me around :D
If you watch me after that incident I'm so determined to catch up with the pack that I forget all about the new chicane and WHAMO! :roflmao:
So it was my own stupidity that put paid to my race, not you at all. And in any case ... I forgot all about it when I spent over 20 mins trying to get past Scratchy who proved the point that catching is one thing - passing is another.
Good race all and let's remember ... there's no point be fast if you're not fuelled for the whole race
Congrats Moose :yahoo:
[Jensen Button mode on] Well..yes..no, I'd not been on a lot for this combo, I was still wearing RACE_S from Sunday when I joined, missing quali. I had a Romus setup so put in a few practise laps with 80% fuel and survived [frowns, sips on drink]. I took it easy until Doorz caught me, I was a bit slower than him so we had a few laps of fun before he took me whilst I was slowing to let a lapper through at the chicane [cheeky sod look, sips on drink] I wasn't having this so set off after him and took him a couple of laps later [chuckles, sips on drink] Doorz tried hard for a few laps before braking too late at the end of the pit straight [laughs, sips on drink] I didn't see him again. I drove around and around, pitted and finished. [sips on drink][Jensen Button mode off]

We have developed a way of knocking the seriousness out of people :D I did feel a bit gutted for you though. 1% more eh, Moose said he had 1% left.

Good report. :roflmao:
Had pretty good race myself. Hoped I might be able to keep up with Iron, but I was having difficulty with some of the corners and struggled to to do less than a :27 most laps. I think seeing John in my mirrors didn't help :).
Unlucky Deetz and the others with the time outs. And of course John with his Fuel "issues"
Had a lot of good races during the week on what turned out to be a very popular and enjoyable combo, cheers Ron :flirty:
Congrats to Moose, well done :yahoo:

Fuel issues, what fuel issues? Oh yes, I remember, he ran out of the stuff didn't he? :roflmao:

but not for a long time. :lmfao:
