Title: Patch Error
Post by: Armitage on November 14, 2008, 07:56:18 PM
I got my copy of LK today and i am now getting an error while installing it,

It is when the patch 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 is running.

The error is
"
The patch "base\world\maps\Northrend\Northrend_29_14.adt" could not be applied. (CRC mismatch: expected 0xa26ec1eb, actual 0xf06a8be1.) If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (BNUpdate::PTCApply)
To check this installation for problems, click the "Repair" button. The Repair tool can automatically fix many update errors."

can anyone help:crying:

Take that patch out of your WoW folder and let it download again to see if it is a corrupt file.

i had something the same.

I got an error called: Northrend_41_32.adt    if i remember correct.
But that was ingame when i tried getting in one of the new zones...

I tried the repair thingy, didn't work as to much data.. Then i reinstalled wow and got the same again. I tried the repair thing 1 more time and then it could fix it...  it reset my patch and dl it again and my prob was then solved...

it sounds weird but that happend to me...

Well i fixed it in the end. I patched the copy on my laptop (which is XP) then copied the whole program to my desktop.
