right, telewest say they cannot service my new flat due to "wiring problems" despite the fact the houses on either side show up as okay in the search. I think I'm gonna cry. :cry:

I guess the next option is adsl or isdn or something? I know little or nothing about non-cable internet stuff, so what sort of kit will I need to get. I will likely want to set up some networking in the flat for 1 or 2 other pc's. So, ...will I need to buy a modem/router and stuff or do companies supply those? I will go try find the last thread you had on here about adsl people, although I need to find out if I can get that even... damnit, what sort of wiring problems can there be. :x

house network will be 3 pc's so 4-port is perfect.
hmmm, I spoke to telewest again and the 2nd guy (who was actually rather helpful 8O and switched on) seems to think it should be okay as long as my landlord gives the go ahead. I will return later once I have fully recovered from my blind panic and prospect of no bb internet :oops:
