Title: Thursday 25th Dec
Post by: Doorman on December 23, 2008, 12:54:11 PM
There appears to be some sort of celebratory goings on on the 25th so the 1 hour race has been cancelled due to expected lack of entrants. (Give it a rest for one day of the bloody year luv! :sideways: Come and have a nice turkey sandwich. :)) I have grave doubts about the following Thursday as well. Being New Years day I suspect many of you wouldn't pass a breathalyser test. So we'll give that a miss as well.
BUT.....You'd better be there for the one hour team race on the 4th January! Combo to be announced.

We're having a quiet one this year so I'll most likely be online.

Thursday evening me and my girlfriend will be having dinner with a couple we're friends with. I wasn't planning on doing the 1hr race anyway because I don't like the combo (http://www.easysmileys.com/img/shrug2.gif)

Next week I don't really know yet what we're gonna do. There's the mandatory family visits to wich everyone a happy new year and all that crap, but I have no idea how long that's gonna take.

God, I really hate the holidays

I was wondering how I'd manage to do a one hour race on Christmas night without being divorced. So far I'd come up with either strong tranquillisers, or spiked drinks...... Maybe a hideously expensive present. I just think it's really thoughtless to have two major celebrations on two consecutive Thursdays, you think they could've moved them by a day either way...
I'll probably slip on for a couple of races during the evening, just to be sociable and keep oOOOo company, I'm sure you understand.

May I take this opportunity to wish my fellow dMr racers, and the dMw community a very merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

You're all wunnerful peeple, an' my besht palsh. *hic*   No, rilly...... :D
