I'd like to put up a stats page for the demo server like we used to have for the main server, I can do the HTML but I know nothing about creating stats from the server data.
I know we have a few members that can do this kind of stuff so if anyone would like to help or point me towards the info on how to do it, will be appreciated.

Seriously, it's been too empty for quite some time now :sad: I try to go on there from time to time to see if anyone joins, but it seems hard to get a good crowd going there. I was thinking that maybe we should all get together there instead of on the S2 server from time to time. Not a weekly event or anything, just... I don't know, actually. Just... something. The XFG & XRG can make for some fun racing with the right people.

I guess you would want to have the insim app always running in the background and then use some script to run the graph.exe always once the race is finished.
I love demo racing. BUt I avoid the dmr demo server because of this:
1) Wreckers get on it
2) there often isn't an admin online, and you can't vote them off
They then own the server and it's easier to go elsewhere for demo racing. :(
I know voting gets abused by wreckers, but if there's no admin and some tosser is sitting at the end of the start / finish straight waiting for you, there's no point racing.
If this was resolved in some way I'd be on there all the time - only takes 1 person an a server and others will join also.
I'm willing to do some admin if you want, if you trust me - have adminned servers before (in MTA) and am grown up enough not to kick / ban ppl because I have 31337 powerZ. In fact, I'd rather never have to ban or kick anyone... :)
The times I was on there and other people actually joined, there haven't really been any wreckers on. The occasional newbie who's still learning to properly control his car, yes, but that's different and you can tell that they're actually trying to race properly. Except for that 1 time, some guy who had just downloaded LFS and thought it was funny to try and drive into everybody.
If you see really blatant wrecking you can always just save the replay and send it to one of the admins here, I'm sure they'll be taken care of. That's up to you, though. But yeah, I understand what you're saying, not really a point in trying to race there when wreckers have free play.
Well, Ben's told me to put my money where my mouth is and given me an admin password, so I'll do my demo racing there - hope to see you soon for some demo action!
I'd promised myself I'd get my XFG time below 1:35 for 2009 and haven't quite yet done so, so I'll be frantically hotlapping there whenever I can get on.

The best use of the force is not to use it at all. :)
Unless I see someone deliberately being a clown, I won't do anything. If they are, I'll warn them. If they don't stop, I'll kick them.
Unless I'm sure someone knows the rules, I won't kick them for misbehaviour (after all, they might think it's a cruise or banger server).
And ban is only for extreme circumstances.
TBH, if I never have to use admin, I'll be happy. :)
