I think he knew that, he was just saying - lollipop sticks would have been better. I agree tbh, significantly larger so you need a lot fewer to make the model, but still small enough that you can get the smooth curves and the like. I bet it's harder to get hold of the number of sticks you'd need compared to matches though.
