its a strange place ireland, i can say that as im from there, but its called a few names for example,
Ireland
Poblacht na hÉireann (the above in irish)
eire(not many people know that one, well done ron),
the free state(was from 1922-37 and thats what the orange men call it now),
Saorstát Éireann( the above in irsh)
down south (thats what people from up north (northern ireland call it), (up north from down south))
the republic ( as says)
the emerald isle (never found any)
Hibernia (thats what the romans called it)
so i can see how and why he got confused
