Some good games last night. I particular enjoyed Overgrown Domination. We had a plan, used coms to great effect and won the map with some great team work. Some of the other maps were not so much fun.
We need to start talking guys. Just basic stuff like, "I'm taking the bomb left" or "Slow down bomb man, I need 10 seconds to catch you". Even just acknowledgement for other peoples coms. If someone is using coms to hatch some kind of plan try and follow it and if it's a bad plan, Step up to the plate.
Soon sorry about Creek Sabotage, We were pushing on the bomb site and due to the poor layout, spawn kills are going to happen a lot when trying to get the bomb down. Not sure this combo is long for the rotation. But there was a lot coms on this map from my team.
Can you talk to your side only using the comms in COD4?
yes. except end of round and all talk is on
I think we should use teamspeak and not in game comms as this proved effective in our tournament match. However as we relate calls to cs and not to cod it seemed not as fluid as say a normal night on boomer.
I don't mind calling stuff but it felt like there just wasn't enough voice comms and we need to get this sorted if we want to play competively in ED.
Maybe a trial member to earn his/her full wings in cod at least will need to show good use of comms aswell as gaming ethos before being given the full tag.
Come on guys lets use more comms!
When there are 8vs8 it tends to get a bit deathmatch like, and hard to use comms when "I got the bom, going right... dead". But when there are fewer online the comms work great imo(as the X-mas tourney proved). It is just the game and how it works.
I've played Creek-HQ which is fine though.
Me and Whitey had some good comms last night, I picked up the bomb from our bombspot and we managed to run all the way to the other bombspot...Then I made a mistake...Instead of planting I tossed a nade and blew myself up...
Scott, I autojoin on CoD4 so using TeamSpeak is not an option as you don't know which team you're going to end up in.
The ingamevoice is fine for me. If a player has a bad mic, call it so he/she can adjust it.
Listen to calls. If there's called; airstrike going on C; don't rush there...
Another tip/suggestion;
If there's a game of HQ, don't keep camping as a sniper, try and get to the HQ aswell. We had a 3vs3 or such and 2 teamm8s decided to stay on 1 spot and snipe, the opponents get rushing to the HQ and defending them while the snipers were still in their spot...
i agree in regards of team speak, the in game coms seem a bit quite to me?
ps, my mic was broken hence no comms from me last night, but new headset on the way:yahoo:
I am agreed need more coms and sorry about last night new setup not ready but I always seem to have trouble with my mic.
Am working on it!
i must agree with ya pete , had some great team play last night with good coms
then on the next rotation it went quiet and we seemed to lose our way. Think we should all make the effort as it really does make the difference
I trust everyone enjoyed the Shipment TDM warmup round.
Sorry Arm, just don't ever join my team again (3 TKs by me in 3 spawns, all on Armitage :( )
Got my Vote BB :)
i will pull my socks up and get my comms sorted tonight, hopefully someone will be online tonight so i can test :woot2:
