Title: Switching to co-op
Post by: Benny on January 15, 2009, 10:14:24 PM
OK, so I'm sure there is an easier way, but what I've been doing it

director_no_human_zombies 1

Disables human infected and triggers AI zombie bosses. If someone is already a zombie it will stop them switching team.

Disappointingly since the patch, there is a team switch limit now aswell which means that.....

If you are all ready to go and can't get out the room, disable the above command, switch sides, the game will start, disable human zombies again and try to switch back.....I'm sure there is a more elegant way, but it works.

You'd think.....force versus start never works though.

z_speed 500 does though.

So to clarify ...

To setup a 4 player co-op game I can create a cfg file called coop.cfg containing:

sv_cheats 1
director_no_human_zombies 0
sb_all_bot_team 1
director_no_human_zombies 1
director_force_versus_start 1
sv_cheats 0

If I've understood correctly it will move any human infected across automatically.

I tried it through there i.e. I selected to start a map that wasn't Vs. in the name. The map changed but we were still in versus mode. :g:

Edit: Forget it. I just realised there is a second part to the "wheel" and I had only bound the dMwAdmin and not dMwAdmin1. I guess the single team infected start is what I needed?

Mats, check you've got the latest version, see further down the thread.

The one you want is the single team survivor start.

The single team infected start is supposed to allow you to play as infected against the bots, but I've never got that to work properly.

I cant find "single team survivor start" in the radial menu. I only have
Quote"North"
        {
            "command" "rcon sv_cheats 1; rcon director_no_human_zombies 0; sb_all_bot_team 1; rcon director_force_versus_start 1; rcon sv_cheats 0"
            "text" "Single team Infected start"

However, there is one slot available for the "... survivor start" to be added.
