Before I post this in the L4D forum, any objections?
(it's in the general here because I think it impacts all games)
QuoteAs my old dad used to say, "Is that as big as it gets?"...nope that wasn't it.
Manners cost nothing (that was the one)
This community prides itself on it's attitude to others, irrespective of experience or skills. There's been a few incidents of caustic comments on the server and whilst it may not make a real difference it makes it uncomfortable for newer players. So pack it in.
If you are pinned, call for help. If help doesn't come immeadiately then assume your colleagues are busy getting swamped elsewhere.
If your colleagues call for help, go help them. L4D more than any other game requires teamwork. One lost man makes a huge difference. So whilst you may pride yourself on being a crack shot, you are only as good as the slowest member of your team. Make sure you are with him/her.
You don't have to be stood on top of each other, but know where your friends are, and make sure they know where you are.
Don't order people around. You may know the map backwards, but again, newer people may not and may not be keeping up, or may want to explore. Yes, it slows you down, but there was a time when you were new.
Help each other, talk to each other, have fun, and then worry about getting to the end.
Bad manners/sportsmanship wouldn't be tolerated in any of the other games on the servers here and I don't believe it will be tolerated on this one.
A quick browse of the Steam forums show numerous people looking for a mature team based community where they can enjoy L4D amongst other things. If people joined our server at times they would not return and I, for one, don't want that to happen. Feed one game in the community and they will all benefit. The community is nothing without it's members so don't assume that because you've been here a while that you have a divine right to play how you like.
If no-one has any issue I'll post this later this afternoon.

I echo your sentiments entirely.
Go go go!

Publish and be damned :thumb:
Doesn't the first line insinuate your father is a paedophile?
Just wondering
PEN
Freud would have a field day with you.
It was refering to a lego tower that I once built. Will post shortly after a re-write that will stop Smilodon having a field day on my grammar.
