Ok, just been having a play on one of the servers & I just thought i better ask with the new badge system & stuff - my name keeps defaulting to have the dmw cs:s tags on, am I allowed to wear the taggs being badgeless for l4d or do I have to sort it out so I'm without till I get badged up?

We now have a tag that identifies a dMw member
who holds a gaming badge but not for the game being played.
That tag will be:
.dMwThe tag will be placed
after the player's name i.e.
OldBloke.dMw If the game does not support the fullstop character then it can be replaced, in order, by ...
an underscore: OldBloke_dMw
a hyphen: OldBloke-dMw
a space: OldBloke dMw
This eliminates any complications around "Which of my tags should I wear when I play X"
So if Lee (who, in this example, has a badge for both CSS and CoD4) wants to try LFS he would join with the name of Lee.dMw
This lets every dMr tag wearer on the server know that here's a member of Dead Men Walking who has been awarded a badge in a game other than one supported by Dead Men Racing. It will be a beacon to Doorman and his team of admins that here's a dMw member who knows all about the dMw ethos and who might be looking to achieve his Dead Men Racing badge.

It does, all dMw players can happily wear the wings. (It's not like we have a choice) It makes no difference to how you should behave.
If you have the tag then we'd expect you to play as a representative of the community.
ok, just wanted to know i wasn't about to get told off for playing with taggs on when its steam that keeps changing it back & not me.
& btw, i havn't been anywhere, I've just not been here, only having cs:s & vary rarely getting the chance to get online on Fridays has cut down on my dMw time - which is why I was looking at L4D & CoD4 to see if either would run on my pc so I could come & get some more dMw lovage.
I'd say if you can play L4D, CoD4 should work fine. It's pushing the limit of my old PC, but both seem to work fine. :)
Yea, I checked em both on that there site that checks to see if you can run stuff & both should run just about, so my next purchase might well be CoD4 as I see mondays is fish night & I'm around on mondays to play.
I managed to get into the game for the first time yesterday and complete an online campaign. it seems real good fun playing 4 man coop, I'll have to try and jump into our servers at some point to see if I can't provide some cannon-fodder for you more learned people!
