I'm going to run a server for a couple of hours this afternoon. Passie as per the hook. It will have some bots.    :narnar:

Look for -=[dMw]=-Gh0stys server.

hmmm it appears to display my LAN ip address rather than my internet one. Anyone know how to change that?

CS 1.6 is a bit different to 1.5 on the server side. On 1.5 you would put the LAN IP address in the command line so that it knew what address to bind to and then put the Internet IP as an "IP" variable in the server.cfg file (eg "ip blueball.deadmen.co.uk") so that it knew how to announce itself to the world.

In 1.6 just run it without stating an IP and make sure that "sv_lan 0" is in your server.cfg so that it acts as an internet server. I find that it is better to run it as a console rather than use the GUI.

The startup line for my server in CS 1.6 is:

-console -game cstrike -port 27016 +exec server.cfg +maxplayers 10 +map de_airstrip

I am behind a NAT router so I forward port 27016 to my servers NIC et voila!
