Can we have a section thats only availiable to people over 18?
As i found that left4lol video awsome, and im sure im not the only one :).
Like im fully aware that we have some youngsters looking at the forum but really do you think in todays society that they havent seen it before?
Or would having a 18+ only section be age descrimination?

There is no need for an over 18 section (we would have NO way of getting people to prove their age).
We are discussing this in the admin forum and a formal reply will be forthcoming :).

Cant you link it to your profile? so if they state they are over 18 it allows access to section?
About the age verification, if they confirm that they are over 18 doesn't that stop the moderators responsibilities ? As many pages uses only the "type your age" and then you can move forth, so after that there is no legal obligations ?
It's not as if we're stopping them accessing the same material via other sources. An over 18's section wouldn't make it any easier for them to find swearing but it would give a place for the over 18's (majority of users) a place to discuss harmless things like left4lol and the onion videos.
Age Verification sounds like a good idea.
For the moment, posts containing links to swearing for instance would perhaps be best not to contain the link but a message saying:
PM me if you want to see this really funny video of L4D bots swearing

We've got some coding wizards in here, so I am sure it must be possible to give automatic acces to an 18+ forum to anyone who declares to be over 18 while making a profile.
If you include the fact that dMw can not be held responsible for any content in placed that subforum in the terms of agreement, we should be clear right?

Unfortauntely, as has been said above, there is no way to prove age on the forums GM.
