Title: CS Map Testing - Thursday 19th
Post by: Whitey on February 19, 2009, 03:50:18 PM
We have a number of maps to try out:
de_imortalkillers_v3
de_nordic_chapel
de_offshore_b3
 de_oxygen
 de_scud_for_css
de_vac_b3
de_vostok
de_westcoast
de_winery_final_3

I'll be on Meathook from around 7-7:30PM until we're done.
There are some signs up on the maps but they may get moved after play testing.

The maps are on fast download but please download them from here (http://77.108.129.49/cstrike/maps/2009_feb_maps.7z) or from FPSBanana prior to 8PM as we don't want to use up too much network bandwidth during race night.

Some of the maps are large and we will need a lot of people on to test them.  Maps that prove popular/good for TCS will be included in the Meathook map cycle for tomorrow night.

Can't download the file. Tried Chrome and Firefox. In both occasions it gets to within 0.5Mb of the end of the file and then stalls. Think your zip file might be corrupt?

Westcoast was the best,
Short map, lots of hiding spots, several routes, good fun.

didn't like that map with the boats, scud i think it was. Not that is a bad map, but cuz of scenery and annoying light/dark spots and obstacles.

Snap but at 660kb/s

Westcoast and immortalkillers were great fun but the one with the oil tanker and boat not so good. The bomb sites had bottle necks to get into them and it was too easy for the cts to pick the ts off.

A good nights gaming :D

From the chat at the end of the night, it looks like the following maps should go into the rotation on Meathook:

de_scud
de_vac   ( needs more work on the boundaries in the middle area)
de_vostok
de_westcoast
de_winery

We'll save de_nordic_chapel for a full server (or the LAN) as it's big...
