although considering fs9 is 6 yrs old and still getting new stuff developed as well as fsx i think we will be ok for a few years yet, just nothing base sim wise is gonna get developed

Maybe they'll lend their experience to the FlightGear (http://wiki.flightgear.org/index.php/Main_Page) project.

Although there should be plenty of work for them in the industrial Simulator world.

It could open up for some more competition maybe, now the terms will be evened a bit.

FlightGear has been getting better, though. Perhaps time to check that out again.
