Title: Needing some help to set up
Post by: [BIG]magnus on February 25, 2009, 02:23:44 PM
Hi all, I had my computer doing some folding last night both gpu and cpu client.  I found a couple of problems so far.  The first is that both my cores are not being used on my 4870X2.  One is running at 99% and the other is only running at 18% ish.  So i assume i need to do something that I am not to make both work.  Another problem is that after it finishes running through it's 10000000 folding (what ever units it is) it seems to stop and not start another one.  Again what do I need to do so it goes onto the next one automatically and not exit and restart the client.  Cpu client is fine just ALOT slower than the gpu client but does use a good chunk of the quad core cpu's running at 4 gig.  The last one is I have tried several times to download the ps3 client but it gets to 41% and the old error has occurred that used to happen in the early days of ps3 store.  Does anyone know if I can download the software from the F@H website and install manually.

Cheers

Magnus

Ps3 client is now the "Life with playstation" application. You don't need to download anything if you have the resent updates to PS3 as It came with some of the updates.

I have the latest update ( I am sure I will check again tonight) This why I was confused when it wanted to download an 125mb update.  Thanks for the help.

Edit. Got the PS3 working now.  It seems with catalyst 9.2 the workload return may not be working properly which would explain why it is now showing as 0 on the 2nd gpu core.  Hopefully it will starta  new job when teh old one is finished.

Some more edit.  Apart form not using both cores on my GPU all is working fine!!
