That looks like fun.

It's quite good but needs a few more bits polished up. Some distance markers, poles separating the pit lane, shadows, advertising etc. He wants to release it now,  but I've asked him not to just yet. It's almost there and it would be a shame to subject himself to the sort of criticism that the sim community is famous for. Ha'p'orth of tar syndrome. :)

Heh. I was watching that vid thinking 'I know that track, why do I know that track?' Then I realised i'd raced it in Forza 2 on the 360 a lot, and thus recognised the circuit. Given that Forza is also supposedly to be a good 'Sim' racer, albeit for consoles, with cars, tracks, damage etc accurately modelled, he might want to consider (if he has a 360) looking at that game for ideas of what he was still missing in terms of layout? You can pick up a copy of the game for next to nothing these days.

iRacing probably has the definitive representation of LS and he's looked at that till his eyes bled. :D There's only so much you can do with limited resources. He's not doing badly though. :)

Looks good to me, can't wait til it's polished and released then.
Should make for great racing in nK :D

BTW The Stig has a home remedy for bleeding eyes, just rub a little salt in and wash it out with some malt vinegar :excl:

Laguna Seca is now in the downloads section. :D As Gerrit de Vries says, it's a beta but it works. He just doesn't have the time to finish the odd bits and pieces. He'll update it when he can. Enjoy. :)

Had some good close racing tonight. Real wheel to wheel stuff and no collision detection nonsenses. :thumbsup2:

I tried a few laps around there, nice track!
The LFS / FO8 on KY3 really felt bland after that...
Only managed 1:42 though. How are humans (the no antlers type) faring timewise?

I've just had a play and was going to ask the same question about times, as this track doesn't appear on the rank site yet.

My PB was 1-36-9 but I'm sure there's more to come than that :)

Nice throttle control pixr, much smoother than me!

Good skiing? :)
No Laguna Seca doesn't appear on Rank yet. It's been asked for but no response yet. No it's not Kunos' fault, it's Jaap Wagenvoort's department.
Just to clear up any misunderstanding, that second video is Stuart's (with antlers :norty:)

No server in sight from Geneva lake... pity, down to 1:39 with a little bit of practice.

Well, at least it's not just me then. :)

Actually I came directly from an iRacing race at Laguna Seca to this. And I must say that in general, the nKP version is pretty well done! Looks good. However the corkscrew needs work, but the designer already knows about that.

Off to do some practice offline then!
