Title: Game pads
Post by: Dewey on March 26, 2009, 05:22:14 PM
Hello!

For the last 2 years I've used a Nostromo Game Pad N52 - but due to my monkey like hands and continued use its finally given up the ghost.

Having read the Belkin N52 forums it seems the new N52 TE is a crock, well made but Razer have screwed up the drivers and support seems poor, the whole forum bitches about how bad it is and there are numerous threads about people moving over to the logitech G13. I've been really struggling using a keyboard playing COD4 for the past couple of months so I'm desperate to replace my old one.

Does anyone here have any experience of a Logitech G13 - I'd be pleased to hear your thoughts and opinions.

Interesting review here (http://www.techradar.com/reviews/computing/peripherals/input-devices/keyboards/logitech-g13-492708/review)

I don't think it is released yet mate......as i am currently thinking of swapping from the N52.
Bought the N52te and it is a crock compared to the old one.

Got the N52TE but the normal N52 was / is much better.
Trying to set it up was loads more difficult then the N52.
Plus points of the N52TE; Nice blue light which helps out my set up (more blue lights in the comp) and a bit smoother with the feeling while the N52 was more sturdiar? (Word)??

Theres a number of people who now have G13s (not sure if they are in the US?) but its getting good write up from players who have the N52TE.

Like Duvel I loved my N52 - at the time it was revolutionary for the price £20 - but that was a few years ago.

I think I'll go for a G13 when they are available - until then I'll have to make do with my trust keyboard!

Reviews from N52TE owners on the Belkin forum!! (http://www.n52te.com/community/index.php?showtopic=1311&st=40)

A few places sell them but at different prices, I've not heard of Kikatek (http://www.kikatek.com/product_info.php?products_id=89418&source=froogle) has anybody else?

You can use it as a left handed person. Just pretend the thumb control isn't there.
