I love DoW (1) heard 2 isn't as good and has a clumsy hud.. never tried it myself though.

DoW Game of the year edition is 7.99 on Play

Strangely enough, I bought the complete DoW 1 collection last Friday for Ã,£12.99 from GamePlay, cheapest I could find it, just started playing it.

Includes:
DoW GOTY edition
Winter Assault
Dark Crusade
Soulstorm

Each one runs on it's own, but allows the races from the other packs to be used with their key.

The DoW series is a great buy, played both DoW 1 with all expansions and DoW 2... both highly recommended

I've just bought DoW I and II.
If I don't like it I reckon my nephew will as he likes these gametypes.

Been playing this last night (DoW 2) and like it so far.
DoW 1 just came in today with the expansions but I think I'll finish of 2 first and then try 1.

Excellent game so far and worth the money. Although my timing to finish a map seems a tad to long as I want to play it tactical.
Any tips on the game to move faster?

Have played it and completed it on all 4 difficulty levels and so far ive found out to speed maps up is to:
just zerg placements,
use heavy weaponry (missle launchers, flamers, plasma cannons),
NADES are your friends (no matter what specific they are),
but the real time booster is Davian Thule in the Mech armor and equip him a heavy minigun and just spray your enemys till nothing remains but red mist, plus useing the special powers (turrets, halo, orbital strike) with Davians special attack with heavy miningun is devasteting.

Also, what team setup you usually develop?

Usually the scout party off the team.

Thanks for the tips.

I enjoy making them last longer, better value rather than finishing too quickly :norty:

When playing RTses i'm a turtler. If I can't turtle I don't enjoy the game, which is why I hate playing against AI (or anyone who doesn't also turtle as a strategy). On Easy difficulty by the time i'm ready to move out the enemy is a complete walkover. On anything higher if I try to turtle I get completed zerged by the enemies forces before I can build up a good defense.
