Post by: Doorman on April 06, 2009, 12:15:09 PM
I've only just noticed a FTarget (F3) race at Aviano GP on Sunday 12th April. I think we'll have the server set up for that one eh? :norty:

I feel a new skin coming on!

I don't know if you're aware of R2P's Mail centre. It's not very obvious. Click on 'My R2P' on the top left hand side and that will reveal 'Mail centre' (yes, they've spelt it wrong!)

Nice one Ron. I've accepted the invite, ta.

FYI - If you 'drop out' of the event and then re-join you can then select the DMR team from the drop down so it appears in the entrants list, and presumably the results.

Also, is it worth putting a link to the DMR skins in the pre-race chat for anyone that wants to get them for the event??

If I read this correctly, Sunday's race at R2P is 35 laps. By my reckoning that's approximately 50 minutes of racing and a pitstop for fuel will be necessary. 55 litres, a full tank, is good for about 27 laps. :) Interesting. Let's see if the server can cope with it.

Yup, it was reduced so there was no need for a pitstop.

Nice to see you there Sokke :)  Good job! :)   Was a good race from where i was sat. Server seems much more stable than any other I've tried.  I think I've found my home for netKar racing. :D

Good for you. Nice to see you racing too, although in some funny colours.. ;)

It was a very nice race. I got there (to 3rd) by just holding it on track and keeping the nose onwards. I had no chance to defend against Mr. Turnbull, so I concentrated just to get to the podium. For me it went far better than expected, I had maybe 100 km done in Target before the race. :)

Hopefully next one goes without problems like this one did.

I've taken part in all the promo events and an F2000 race before this one and it's always been fine.   No mass discos, No hitting invisible objects, and very little lag.   Perfect place for netKar  racing imo, and from what I've seen so far it's a lot cleaner than GPC has been this season. :yahoo:

I take it that Sokke = Roger then? If so how come you're not not racing under the DMR team on R2P?
That would have made it a DMR 1,2 and 3 and 9th  :D

It wasn't easy getting past you either, twice on different laps I drifted off track on the fast turns when I was close to you because of the loss of downforce (another realistic feature of nK).
Thanks for keeping it clean and giving me room when I did pass you at T1, that was quite a hard pass.

All in all I think it was another good race night.

As you guys may have aready noticed/read. I had old computer with fps/warp problems in GPC F1600, r2p F3 Aviano and now I have to use it also in FR Falkenberg  So, I'm not really much racing there, just try to drive around track without hitting anyone.

Post by: The Moose on April 13, 2009, 09:06:20 AM
What sort of FPS are you getting with that computer?

If you drive online with less than 30 FPS in nKPro then it really screws things up on the server.  Not only will it cause you to look like you're lagging to others, but it can be the cause of other weird stuff happening that effects everyone else.

Why this happens in nKPro and not other sims i have no idea, but it does.

Just one driver with low FPS can cause trouble for everyone on the server, so if your dropping under 30fps online with that computer then pls try everything you can to get the FPS up :)

I just thought I'd mention it. :sideways:

Last nights race went not according to plan :sideways: Maybe my massive hangover had some part in that I don't know

In qualification I claimed P5. I was quite pleased with that, only did a few practice laps about 30mins before the R2P event. In practice/quali I was hitting the 1.25's without a problem.

At the race start I crashed into Dauti who stalled his car. I tried to evade him but my reaction was just to late  I think Ron bumped into me after that which wasn't a real surprise because Dauti and I where standing still at the starting grid...

I drove my car with broken front and rear suspension all the way to the pits, i wasn't aware that it was aloud to use the towing function  lost a lot of time trying to keep the car on the road that lap, But to be honest i did accidentally speeded in the pits when i drove out by a couple of km

After that I had a real hard time concentrating, my lap times where really bad, they didn't even come close to what I was doing in practice. Off course i did spun off a couple of times and in the end I was surprised that I took 6th place.

Ow and we really need blue flags I had two people that let me pass without a fight because they probably thought I was lapping them

On the subject of FPS and lag/warp. I'm confused. :g: As I see it fps is an issue between you, the game and your graphics card. If your card can't handle the amount of information thrown at it, it does the best it can and that results in low fps. If you can obtain 30 fps consistently you ought to be seeing a smooth display. If you don't the only recourse is to either ante up for a new pc or pare down your demands to the bone  (i.e., lod, visible wheel, draw distance etc.
Lag and/or warp is a separate issue and one that is between you, the server and your isp. My setup is fairly robust in the pc/gpu/connection areas and I do sometimes see examples of lag, oddly enough more in LFS than nkp. You know, the one where a car in front of you disappears then reappears some way down the road. Now, is that MY lag (not receiving packets quickly enough) or their lag?(not sending packets quickly enough)

Daren't re read that, I might have been talking crap!
Title: Race2Play reports etc.
Post by: Gnomie on April 13, 2009, 01:04:16 PM
Doorz, my understanding is that if all the cars appear to be lagging equally bad, it's most likely your own connection that's causing the problems (too low receive throughput). Whereas if it's only one car that's bouncing around like a rabbit on LSD, the problem is at his end. :)

It seem slike this R2P thing is just the adrenaline shot that nKP needed! A serious, supervised format with scheduled races.

Quote from: Doorman;272508Daren't re read that, I might have been talking crap!

No you weren't talking crap :)  That's all very true.

...but,  it has been proved many times with nKPro, that someone with a sub 30fps screws things up.

It doesn't make any sense to me either, and i cant say I've seen a proper technical explanation from Kunos as to why this happens in nKPro... but it does happen, that's been proven. (at least it was proven  in v1.00 to v1.02. I'm not sure that it was ever looked at in 1.03 testing)

I'm guessing that your processor still has to do some calculations concerning your position on the track in relation to others.  nKPro is so processor heavy(FPS is far more dependant on your CPU than GPU in nKPro) that once you drop below 30FPS the processor is doing so much work trying to keep FPS up and calculate the physics that its unable to calculate all the required information concerning other stuff.
When you see how bad the physics get once you drop below 30FPS it gives you a clue as to how hard your CPU is working.

Its simply not a problem with modern CPU's, but the sim seems to fall apart on older CPU's once your under 30FPS.

I could be talking out of my arse though.  I like a good theory...even a bad theory will do me :lmfao:

First thing i have to say is sorry to Katsu, even though yet again there was no contact made, the shitty collision detection decided there was.  We were having a fantastic fight when i thought he'd just hit the power too hard and spun.  The replay suggests a poor collision detection hit. (yet again i felt nothing and had no damage)

Really sorry about it fella.

That was a really good fun if slightly chaotic race :)

Now on, I will not accept to race from quest-computers, just from my own. I knew before I had problems with fps. But those were nothing compering that what I had yesterday. I had fps from 2 to max. 8. :D In prac/qual I could drive somehow with empty track, but even sitting in pits you could see lag. Sometimes you didn't see cars just sounds. On start I assume other cars were on T2 before my computer stopped diashow and I could start my own race. I managed to do couple of laps, but when I got first 5 second jam and found myself from armco after that, I decide to quit.

My last 3 races haven't had nothing to do with simracing. Since I'm not often at home, it seems I can only race then and there..hopefully still many races to come.

Had a pretty fun race yesterday. My start was great, I passed Stuart before the little chicanes at the end of the straight, so I was in P4 :) I immediately had to cope with the pressure of some very fast guys right behind me. In the first lap, i could see one of the leaders (Veenstra) spun off and accidentally :sideways: entered the track again taking out the other Veenstra. Making me P2.

My lap times were really bad mainly because I was constantly checking my mirrors to hold off Stuart in almost every corner :roflmao: I could easily see where he was faster, but I thought it's a tight track... try and pass me, I can do this all day :lmfao:

But in lap seven the inevitable happened, Stuart was right behind him and touched my back right wheel that spun me off. Then I had to sit there and wait until some of the cars passed by so I could reenter the track.

@stuart : No need to apologize, after a couple of races I know how clean you race so i don't hold a grudge or whatever, just a combination of the netcode, a racing accident and bad luck :D

After what feel liked 30 seconds :lmfao: I tried to join the track again and then I noticed my suspension had broke so I used the towing function to go back to the pits. Fixed my car and I was underway again.

After half a lap I think the Veenstra's where coming through and I thought "I should let them pass" because I was already one lap down after going to the pits. I went off the racing line and lifted off my gas just before the last two corners before the main straight. Maybe not the best place to do it because I got rammed from behind and that spun me off again  Luckily nothing was broken and I continued my way.

After that I drove a pretty consistent race, passing some people in last laps (including unlapping myself with P3 Dauti :)) Finished P5 which isn't bad considering that i had to fix the car. Looking at the lap times of P3 (Massa) and P4 (Dauti) there where definitively possibilities for a better result, better luck next time I hope :woot2:

Sidenote : I agree that some people did not play nice, especially after the race. I've noticed that they where the same guys that where involved in most of the accidents

I enjoyed the hell out that race. I could see other cars aaaall the time! I was on the receiving end of 'inconciderate' driving and suffered one or two slight, and they only had to be slight, lapses of concentration. Apart from that, a super time was had. Poetic justice was on duty and I finished 6th in front of the Veentras! :norty:

Not the best team effort. There were four DMR cars on the grass in three separate incidents on lap 1 before T3 !!! And yes, one of them was me

Here's a shot of me catching Ron for the 2nd time after spinning twice!
At least the collision detection seems OK here.

You could say 'Unlucky too Mark' :)

My report-

Not a happy race :(

I had a great start, from P4 I managed to overtake S.Whitehead and T.Veenstra round the outside of T1 to get into P2. Then Stuart was hard on my tail for the rest of the first lap.

Until we got to the last chicane when, as Katsushika's video shows (thx 4 posting Katsu), Andrea Lojelo drove into the back of Stuart spinning him round into me and smashing me into the wall (not Tjeerd). I know Andrea wouldn't do this deliberately but it was an appalling bit of driving. There was no way he was going to manage an overtake into that chicane on cold tyres/brakes and full of fuel from that distance.

Unlike Tjeerd I managed to drive into the pits, not using the 'Go to Box' button, which I thought was against the spirit of the R2P races? But then I was in last place and never caught up because I was pushing too hard and made two mistakes of my own. Again driving back to the pits cost me time.

Grats to Arthur again, seems to be a demon on the brakes from the replay.

Another of those couldn't be arsed to practice days.  Threw a setup together at the last moment and it all fell into place, grabbing a surprise pole.

Shocking start..slammed it into 2nd way to early and just bogged down, Arthur and Mark had no problem getting past me. I noticed Tjeerd getting tapped by Andrea and presumed he was damaged so i knew i still had a great chance of a result......
...wishful thinking that was:crying:

Approaching the final chicane, i pulled out half a car width just hoping to put Mark off a bit, pulled back onto the racing line ,when WHAM!   Andrea just slammed into the back of me.  It was one of the most stupid crashes i've been taken out by in a league environment.
I haven't a clue what he was doing.  It certainly wasn't an overtaking attempt...he was to far back to even think about it.   He must have simply missed his braking point by a loooong way.  It was inexcusable on the first lap of a league race (or any race for that matter)

Really disappointing, and very sad to see he hasn't bothered to apologise in the post race comments (or by PM)   I'd be feeling guilty as hell if it had been me.   The apologies would have been flying out!

Sorry that Mark got caught up in it as well.  Really crappy race for us.

No need for you to apologise Stuart, your driving was totally considerate through the previous chicanes and hairpin, where you were right up my tailpipes :)

I try to convert Stuart's F2000 but it seems to very unstable when in the FTarget

On a side note does anyone have some good (technical) reading material how to setup a car properly? I now it's a little bit annoying to be asking for the setups every time we race :sideways:

Katsu, I've posted my setup on Jaaps netrank site if you want to try it.
Again it seems to work for my style. I got P5 on netrank with it so it can't be too bad? You may want to alter the steer ratio and viewpoints to your liking.

Yep, thanks for setup.

I had chance to take third place on a race, but I hit to armcos two times. So I had to visit pits two times to fix my car and I lost couple places. On real race I would had been DNF for sure..

Thanks guys :yahoo:

I had a really consistent race, didn't make any huge errors. And off course had a little bit of luck with Mark running into trouble. Would have been interesting to see how it all played out if you had just a couple more of trouble free fast laps.

To bad i don't have time to make a YouTube clip and race report.

By the way can anyone check his replay and look if I have a back wing? I apparently don't have one during the entire race :S I think it's probably a software glitch/bug.

After tonight I have finally given up on nKP...until Kunos sorts it out, which won't be any time soon. :sideways:
The collision detection is abysmal. This evening I was hit in the rear and the guy had absolutely no indication that he'd hit me. I hear an almighty bang and head straight for the picnic area. He feels, nor hears anything and doesn't even lose his front wing!  I trust this bloke implicitly. Even so, (:D) I watched the replay and it didn't LOOK like a hit. Come on Kunos, stop frickin' about with arcade crap and fix this thing! :ranting2:

yep, collision detection and server lobby are really killing this great simulator.

From my race there is not much to say. I was just cruising (trying to keep car on track) with fps from 4 to 10 (ex. start/lap1). It is weird that 2,8Ghz, 2G 800Mhz, 512mb grapich gard with minimum grapich details isn't enough for nkPro..
Title: Race2Play reports etc.
Post by: Katsushika Matsumoto on May 28, 2009, 10:22:53 AM
Tried to make a setup yesterday, but failed miserably (like I expected) :ranting2:. So it settled for the good old ‘jaap_base’ setup and managed to put in a 56.X qualification lap :lmfao: Which gave me P3 on the starting grid :yahoo:

I took it real easy with at the start not trying to be ‘the guy’ that screws up :). The first couple of laps I was right behind E.Dauti, took it easy following him and try to force him into a mistake, unfortunately I made a couple of small error's myself so he could pull away to about 4 seconds.

In the last part of the race I lapped some people so did E.Dauti who's was just in front of me. After overtaking a back marker he made a mistake of hitting the curbs before the main straight and almost spun off. He lost a couple of seconds to that I could just catch him. I was now in P2 with E.Dauti under a second behind me.

The following corner I came up to Ron and tried to pass him on the inside, It was really close but I thought it was a clean pass... until I heard Ron :taz::ranting2: on Ventrillo telling me he was hit :sideways:. I didn't notice or heard anything, I checked the replay and it really was a big bang (from Ron's car) Again sorry Ron.

I continued my was until the end of the race with E.Dauti still on my tail and managed to keep P2, So it was quite a good race except for propelling Ron of the track :sideways:

An unfortunate incident and well done for carrying on Ron.
But I don't think you can blame poor collision detection for this one -

I do think the damage model sucked here though, that should have torn the wheels off both cars!

Thats really interesting. It seems that the replay data on my replay and yours Katsu is different. On my replay (and Rons I guess) it was definitely a collision and on yours it isn't.
This would seem to me to be down to the netcode and associated warp/lag issues, or whatever you want to call it, and not just the collision detection?
It appears that the game had the cars in two different positions? This would explain some of the other mysterious incidents and why Ron got damaged and you didn't?

Roll on the new netcode, lets pray that its better. :help2::helpsmilie2::please:

F3 Team Championship for Finnglish Racing

Silverstone race was quit boring. We had 6 cars on the grid, but one retired during the race. I had nice fight in beginning but then I made mistakes, spinned maybe 5-6 times.

Tim said that next season r2p offers only FF1600 for nkPro, because of lack of participants in this season FR and F3.

Hehe thanks, I was suprised that I did so well. Never really raced at Monaco before, tried once with a hangover but that was so bad that I pitted my car after a couple of laps.

Made one big mistake in lap 14 (two laps before the end) after the chicanes right out of the tunnel.
I just lost control mid corner, due to tyre wear I think... made it to the pits, did a quick fix and to my suprise I was still in P2 :)

To bad I dind't take the Championship... Oh well :D

With that out of the way, I'm gonna dive into iRacing I think ;)

I've had to cancel gym tonight because I have to stay home to watch the baby while my girlfriend goes to get her hair cut. So it turns out that I am home tonight. With a little luck (ie. if I can get the baby to sleep) I'll have time to hop on the server and do some laps if anyone else is on.

I was on for a couple of minutes but I got disconnected...

Did a couple of laps this afternoon in a local session and managed to get a 2.08.8 by just hitting the apex and braking points so there's still a lot of room for improvement. :)

I'm using the jaap_base setup with some small modifications to the force feedback.

Heya Ron, sorry to post here but as you know I'm not a racer but there are several progams that you can install to watch your temperature with computers and with them you can set temperatures and such so you're server wont go Awol. I'll see if I can dig them up should you need them.

So does anyone here have a good setup for this track (Silverstone)? I like the one I'm using well enough but it can't hurt to try some other ones eh.

Also, are you guys planning on doing the whole race on a single set of tyres? I'm not very familiar with the tyre wear in nkp so I don't know if that's realistic or not. Maybe if I have time later I can do a practice run of 13 laps and see how it goes.

I did a 2.06.9 with this setup, it's very stable after some practice http://www.wagenvoort.net/rank/setups.php?trackid=18&carid=22&driverid=

And I'm doing the whole race without a tire change, you're gonna notice some grip dropoff at the end of the race but if don't lockup to often or flatspot you'd be alright.

Added my set to the rank site as well.

As Katsu says..one set of tires is fine... I usually find the last 3 laps or so can get a bit slippy.

Any tips on how to brake with this setup? (Slam it, then ease off for example)
I tried it yesterday but maybe my braking style isn't suitable for you're setup, because is was really unstable breaking into corners. :g: (the back comes out, on second thought maybe I will have to downshift later because of changed gear ratios )

I just brush the brakes and keep a little throttle on,then come off them slowly.

Exactly the same way as i drive the Spec Racer Ford.

It is a slightly nasty set for rear end twitchyness, but i find i get better turn in with it like that.  Though you can put money on me spinning it in the race tonight :D

Move the brake bias forward to around 60-62 and see if that helps, though this close to the race it's probably better if you stick to a set you're comfortable with.

Not really had a great race yesterday.

In qualification I had had done two laps easy to get my tires up to temp, I then went into my final lap but I was very close to two other drivers and I thought ââ,¬ËœOh well if I get held up no problem, better luck next timeââ,¬â,,¢.

One of the cars in front was a wireframe blue box (model not loaded) From where I was driving it looked like he went off track and came back on the racing line trying to finish his lap. That's something I do not understand, if you're lap is dirty then get out of the way or at least off the racing line. I did hit him, gonna check the replay again, to seed what the exact situation was. If it turns out I was to impatient I will make an apology :)

So I decided to wait the remainder of the qualification out in the pits, changed my tires and loaded up fuel.

Right after the start I noticed that I had to held my wheel at a 20 degrees angle to steer straight :S i forgot to repair my car... Doh!

Cursing my way through the first two laps and then decided to exited to the pits, repaired my car and went out again.

Catched up too some people and going into the last lap I was in P4, just passing start finish I was distracted by the white flag and I Think my back wheel touched the grass that send me spinning off.

I lost two placed to Lojelo en Roelandt, managed to get back Roelandt by pressuring him into mistake, sorry about that :) And finished P5

Looking at my times, there where possibilities for a better result. Well again ââ,¬Ëœbetter luck next timeââ,¬â,,¢ :D

Set a new WR in qual to put me on pole (pity the R2P server isn't hooked up to nKRank:rolleyes:) Got a clean start and drove a sensible pace to the finish. Great,if uneventful, start to the season.

Man that really sucks, saw some warping and lagging on the track, but didn't know some got DCed.

Btw here's my race report.
Overall I had a pretty good race yesterday.

Had a lot of problems with my wheel and brakes during practice and qualification. Had to reconnect several times, but still felt weird, it looked like the brakes were locking up with the slightest touch, maybe it was just me... didn't feel very well because of excessive drinking the night before.. oh well, somethings never change :)

Wasn't happy with my qualification. Thursday I could easily do 1.54's but last night I only seem to manage one in the practice session.

Started P2 just behind Toni Talvite. Had a good the start because I managed to slip in front of Toni before the first corner. The first couple off laps I took it real easy knowing the tires where could and I was loaded with fuel.

After that I could just finished my laps without having to push hard, I had a reasonable lead over P2 (Unknown member a.k.a. M.Gilles), I did make a mistake about half way through. In T1 the back end just came out and I spun off, fortunately I managed to recover quite quickly so I didn't loose a place :)

Oh yeah just wanted to say what a perfect start everyone had, Let's hope we can pull that off again :)

Congrats to Ron for his podium finish!

I think netKar Pro can use more people, so I think everyone's welcome if they just use commonsense whilst driving. So ââ,¬Ëœnewââ,¬â,,¢ guys hope to see you in the next race, I think you (all) did a great job.

I also wanted to say that we have to do one lap less then the maximum fuel load next race. The last three laps I luckily saved fuel or else I wouldn't have made it. I had to let the car roll across the finish because 200m before the end I had no fuel left!

Oh and M.Gilles just register doesn't cost anything and it's really not fair to people who register and can't get in because of you.

Yeah... about him. Would it be possible that he's actually registered at Race2Play but just under a different name, and that he forgot to change his ingame name to his R2P name? I don't know how else he would get the password everytime. I find it hard to believe that someone would be so inconsiderate as to give the password to an unregistered member every time. Also, Tim should have DQ'd him right from the start, IMO. He also said that M. Giles will get kicked off the server if he tries to join the next event but... I thought you couldn't kick people from the server in NKP?

Another perfect race :)

Didn't practice until 40 mins before the race (to busy with the Cricket :yahoo:)

Had a quick fiddle with a setup and pulled out a PB in Qual.

Got a good start and pulled away at nearly a second a lap.  Had a couple of scary moments when my computer decided to throw a wobbly and drop to 1 FPS.  Luckily it was on the straight so i just lifted off and waited for it to go back to normal, which it did in about 3 seconds both times.

Wasn't sure about the fuel for this one, but crossed the finish line with 0.3 left.

Thanks to the backmarkers for being very aware and letting me bye with no hassle.

Congrats to Zoltan for his P2 and Oliver for his first podium.

Ok, its not a race2play report, but its a race report so ill post it here :sideways:

The Radiator Springs guys hosted an evening of four full mode races in the F2000. One on each of the Aviano layouts.  I was representing Finnglish Racing and was shocked (and rather scared ) to find it was a full server of Italians, bar one Frenchman. :D

I took pole and won all four races, not without some incidents though.  I span early on in a couple of the races and ended up having some absolutely fantastic battles.  Really hard close racing, very intense. It gave me a feeling that easily matched anything i experienced in iRacing..just superb!:yahoo:

Next time they hold an event i would recommend it to any of you that enjoy the winged single seaters.  Fantastic stuff.  Now i need to rest, over two hours of that cant be good for the heart:D   :byebye:

Just a reminder that signups for the upcoming race at Falkenberg next week are now open.

I'm getting back surgery on Tuesday and I'll be in the hospital for the rest of the week but I hope I'll be able to do this race. Of course, that depends on what the doc says. If he says I should avoid sitting up for longer periods of time then I'll have no choice but to resign

I've been suffering from tremendous back pains for nearly a year now, so last month I went to get a scan at the hospital and it turns out I've got a bad hernia. I went to a specialist and he said there's no other option than to surgically remove it so... tuesday I go in.

It'll be my first surgery so I'll probably get very nervous as Tuesday draws nearer :) I just hope that I'll be rid of the pain. And yeah, if the doc says to take it easy for 6 weeks then that's what I'll do, no doubt about it. I've heard of people not taking that advice and within a couple of months they screwed their backs up again. I don't want to experience that so I'll be taking care of my back from now on, yes sir :flirty:

Still, I'd really love to do this race. Oh well, we'll see...

I, for one, would be fairly annoyed that I had to download a new version with the risk of it not running as good as the current one - or even not at all due to some bug -, and then having to get familiar with the subtle changes in handling etc... to be able to finish a series that's past halfway :flirty:

..but the fact is it's far better than before. Runs like a dream, handles sublimely, strong netcode, collisions much better.

I'm glad GPC have decided to run the new season with the beta.  Did some full grid testing tonight and the racing was fantastic! :yahoo:  I love 1.1 beta 2!

I can see the reasons for not changing mid season mind you.

Voila, and that was my point :) You just don't change versions mid-season.

Also, I'm sure it runs beautifully for you but I've read plenty of posts from people who either can't get it to run at all, or report that it doesn't run as good as 1.03, or they've got some bug or other. That's normal, obviously, as it is a Beta, so that's to be expected. But if I were Tim McArthur that would be a reason for me to hold off on changing versions until most of the bugs are sorted out. With the turnout for NKP races on R2P being low as it is, you don't wanna risk turning people off because they're having problems with a newer version.

R2P will undoubtly adopt v1.1, I'm sure. Just be patient :flirty:

There were just as many people with just as many bugs in every version since day one!

What's with this beta stuff? It's a development of nKP. Or did Stefano throw away everything he's done up to now and start again? This is like the mistake Scawen made by calling LFS Alpha.

I seem to recall 10 entries being the top and 8 an average. A few of those didn't bother to show. Now, with a much, much better version available with none of the phantom wreckers, how many do you suppose will turn up? Finnglish will take the top five places. I will be dead last as usual but fifth!

Moose's Race2Play Year/season summary.

Well, glad that season is over ;) Luckily the new season kicks straight off this weekend, so there's no time for me to mope over what has just passed.

Loosing two titles in two weeks was gutting to say the least despite the fact I'd only driven half the season in each class. Coupled with my worst moment in sim racing (stalling on the grid in the final race of the season) it hasn't been my favorite few weeks in racing, but it's onwards and upwards time.

Our first year at R2P has been pretty bloody good when you look at it.

We've competed in 6 series, winning the team title in 5 of them. Katsu and I have picked up a drivers title each.
If i hadn't had my time off sim racing I'm sure we'd have taken all 6 team titles and i could have had another drivers title.

Katsu's pace has got better and better as the season progressed, which is great for me as it gives me more motivation to try harder. Ron got to the point of enjoying winged single seaters :) and Jarkko finally didn't have a lonely race! . It's all looking good for the future.

Lets make 2010 even better. Hopefully we'll have Obsolum and Gnomie come back to some netKar racing this year as well.
It looks like netKar at R2P has really taken off now.  Bigger grids and generally much better driving standards are making it a lot better place to race, and a good stable version of netKar has helped :)  so it should be a great year to come for us netKar lovers.

The action kicks off with 3 days of racing in a row from Saturday. (which is a bit much imo) I'll be doing plenty of practice this week to make sure I'm up to speed in all three cars.
