Last night there seemed to be some inconsistencies with All_Talk between levels.
We are not sure why this was the case and are investigating.
If you notice that things aren't quite as they should be and would like All_Talk off or on then please do send a message in-game and we can try to sort it there and then.
Sorry if anyone was offended by this and it was not intentional.
I don't see why people not type a comment about it while being on the server. It is easier than writing a PM to complain ... :g:
My Five
I dont mind All-Talk, the banter is usually good fun :)
Then again, it's hard to make a proper tactical plan with people on the other team effing and blinding over you.
Either way, I'm not fussed:flirty:
This is a tough one. Communication with your team is essential if you adhere to the dMw way of playing.
But, when it comes to L4D, I have to admit that I do like to hear the survivors struggling along and shouting for help :D
One option would be to have All-Talk off on the servers, and those players that want some general banter whilst playing could use the TS server (if that is OK?).
That gives you the option of using tactics in-game, but you can also shout "abuse" at the opposing team on teamspeak.
I'm not sure if I can be bothered to use in-game comms and an external client. Seems like alot of hassle to me.
I think the solution is simple: ask the Survivor team (as it impacts them more than the Infected in my opinion) if they want all-talk on or off at the start of the round.

I'd rather say that it is the opposite. It impacts the infected more. I find it very hard to make any tactics work as infected with all talk on. I vote to keep it off as standard and turn it on if asked and then agreed by all.
I actually prefer having All-Talk on now. As infected it's a slight disadvantage as you can't make plans without typing, however when dead you have plenty of time to. As survivor you still call out for help and get people to stick together etc. Overall it's just a more fun atmosphere. There's a good amount of banter between the teams.
As long as it's constantly on or off it's fine. It's just a pain when it seems biased against one team by being on then off. A message in game would sort it all. Nobody here (especially those with admin powers) would deliberately stack the game like that.
If it comes to a vote I'd be going for "on". Can't recall how many times I've cried with laughter during a game, listening to the girls blouse screaming of a survivor when you're tearing his heart out with a little bit of hunterlove.
Alltalk was off for a bit last night, not half the craic. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, it's a game for "the fun of it", innit?
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Got me badge too, thanks Benny
We're going to leave it on by default. Once matches fill up to 4v4 it will be turned off on a map change.
If people want changes before that, just shout in game and we can change it on the fly.
(I too like laughing at someone whose face I'm eating)
i have to agree with keeping it on its alot more fun hearing peeps when ur pulling them towards a witch or bashing them all over the place .
I gotta say i'm for always on, make it so much more fun when you can hear the panic.
