i was thinking we still have alot peeps who are in need of gear from naxx 25 so why dont we still farm that for the time being and just send a 10 man into ulduar to learn the fights etc i know there are gonna be alot of peeps annoyed with this but if it means we are gonna make progress its got to be worth a thought?
I think we should still be doing naxx however i dont think we should drop Ulduar or the opurtunity from play.
I feel the reality is that if we say were not going to ulduar people will just leave / disappear untill we do. Tonight is the most people we've had on in a long time and thats because it was Ulduar if it was naxx we would prob have had the usual 20 or so.:sideways:
The second boss really wouldn't be that hard it just requires focus and people doing as there told. Its a gear check sure but its just as much of a team work and competancy check as the first.
We know we can clear naxx in 2 nights and this will only keep getting faster and faster.
So id suggest:
- Thursday: Naxx
- Sunday: Naxx (+OS/EOE if time - both of these should be doable in 20-30mins)
- Tues: OS / EOE (whichever left ) then on to Ulduar for a couple of hours.
That way were still gearing up people who need it and it adds the reward of Ulduar if the rest is clear, so were still getting badges and learning the fights.
I see no reason it cant be done, if we set them the target im sure they can make it. I know to well how much many want to be in Ulduar. :woot2:
so my theory in short
"we can go to ulduar on tuesdays but only if youve cleared everything else"
Sorry about my waffle post i really must stop drinking.
Also i think the 10man runs are a great idea for fridays:) as will again help with tatics and (albeit slower) gear upgrades
Just my thoughts and opinions :byebye:

Ulduar25 Flame Leviathan is the same fight as 10 man, so go do it and get loot. there is no reason to not be on the 25 man progress ladder. Razor/XT/Ignis in 25 are a step up, but doable once people get the hang of tactics and dps levels needed.
My thoughts would be to prio Ulduar25 on one night of the week, ideally an early ngiht when your attendance is best. As it mgith involve a lot of wipes it is probably best to not announce raid target until the night. That way people have to show up because it might be the farm night they hoped for, or it could be the Ulduar night. That approach worked really well when we went through that sort of phase in SOG.
Don;t de-prioritise Ulduar. Make it a goal and formally visit it at least one night each week. You will eventually make the break through in there on the second tier of bosses.
TL.
tbh Last night was a good night for Ulduar.
Thursdays: Ulduar
Sunday: EOE then Naxx
Tuesday: Complete Naxx if not done on Sunday then onto OS.
Bob said last night that Thursdays are best raid attend days and Sundays people could start early to complete naxx and poss EOE.
2 cents
imo - im more for smites idea of what to do - we need to be spending as much time in uldar as pos. but do still need to clear naxx a couple more time at least along with OS and EOE several more times.
so i would agree with smite but with one slight amendment.
Thurs - Uldar
sunday - EoE then on to naxx
Tues - naxx then to OS then to EOE
there for gives people a big goal - if all is clear early then more time in ulduar
I personally think that we should focus on 25 man Naxx with a view to a 1 night clear, by doing this will mean working tighter as a team getting people used to reacting quicker to situations which in turn will tighten us up for the sort of raid discipline required for Ulduar (as well as gearing people up)
There are speeds runs through going on through Naxx and i think the quickest is around 1hr 34 for the lot !!! so there is no reason we cant clear it in 4hrs i think.
This will leave us a night for Malygos and OS +drakes / Voa25 etc and then 1 complete go for it Ulduar night.
By using the extra hour for Sunday (if all agree) this should give us the 4 hrs needed for a 1 nighter.
Slightly OT but:
You can trim a lot of time off your Naxx clears by simply running them more efficiently. It needs a vocal RL to keep pushing people along until they get the hang of it and realise that you do not stop.
-promote all tanks so they can mark up and /RW for pulling (ideally a comment on TS not a /rw though)
-assign one symbol per tank (not skull or cross as bossmods usually grab them) so they get used to always handling that symbol. So for example Necro gets used to always tanking the Circle.
-on tricky trash packs tanks can mark their own target to help dps focus and ensure all are picked up
-use hunters to MD to specific tanks before the current pack dies (I call the pulls on TS and rotate randomly through the hunters to keep them awake, but the hunters have already got used to it and now move to the far side of any mobs so they are closer to the pack beyond which is next to be pulled and they treat it as a competition to see how quickly they can pull the new mobs when called)
-for trash only: I iuse a 'Trash Buddies & Rez Bhiatches' system and we rotate the roles around healers to keep things interesting. You will have more than one healer per tank, but only assign one to each tank, the others will rotate in another night to take that duty. Make sure that the tank & healer pair know they are working together all night for trash (they are their trash buddies and buddies stick together) and they follow each other. As soon as boss dies their first thought should be to pair up and start running to trash. When the mana is fine (it usually is by time they have run to trash) then pull, one tank and one healer is usually enough in Naxx to pull the next pack. DPS needs to keep up.
When you get to the next boss
-any switches to the raid group are done by the queue summoning out the person moving out of the raid
-a warlock pops a summoning stone. ML is summoned to new boss. Any people joining the raid for this boss are summoned. 20 secs for food and buffs and the MT pulls.
-do NOT do ready checks. Ready checks wake people up and they learn that they can sleep until the ready check then pay attention. No ready checks mean they need to stay awake so they do not miss anything.
-if you know someone is AFK without permission and they are not critical to the kill then pull. It's their loss to not get the badge and not be on the loot table. They soon learn that they need to be there to win.
-let the MT know that when you say GO or PULL then it's his job to do it right away, no delay.
-badges distributed by ML opening loot.
-raid moves off to next trash
-do loot on the run. ML distributes.
-assign a 'rez bitch' which is usually the healing leader. This person hangs around at the rear and rezzes anyone who dies. NOBODY else is allowed to do any rezzing (this means all the healers do not stand there rezzing one person when their assigned tank is 100yds away pulling new trash and about to die due to lack of healing).
Critical:
During the trash:
-healing leader spams healing assignments in healing channel for next boss
-tank leader assigns tanks in tnak channel for next boss
-dps leaders assign any positions/sides for next boss
(these threee things are usually what holds a raid up most, alongside loot distrbution)
Doing Naxx like this and using something like the GTH healing addon I previously linked you can keep downtime to an absolute minimum and this will more or less half your raid time.
Yeah from experiance GTH is epic i love it and i cant thank you enough for stearing me at it TL. I tried a couple of others like surgeon but tbh they were crap.

What TL said. I think we can shave alot of time off Naxx runs and I'm always very eager to chainpull and pick up the pace, you all know that :)
As for Ulduar, I'd say put Ulduar on thursday, Naxx on sunday (one night clear), then Ulduar/EoE on tuesday.
Good to hear of the improved raid speed last night!
