After the frills and spills of the bf1 the uf1 brings a change of pace and some excellent close racing :)
but the best thing about the new combo...... loads more drinking time down the straight
Yeah, I had a very close race with Deetz thursday night after the combo changed. Should be loads of fun with a large field. I hope I can get some races in before thursday...
Yes, excellent combo. Finally racing again! :)
Exciting combo. :dribble:
If you make a minor mistake, it takes about 5 laps to recover the time lost.
Very frustrating. :taz:
Last nights racing was exceptional, with most dMw guys running within 1.5 secs of the world record and recording fastest laps within a second of each other. :D
P.S Pairs racing tonight?
i'm up for some team racing :thumbsup2:
Me too, should be fun if there's enough people on.
for sure
Had some crackin' races tonight. Thanks guys!
twas fun indeed :D
Bah. Was enjoying that up until the half hour mark when i started getting cramp in my throttle foot. Stuck it out as long as i could but around 50 mins in the pain was unbearable and i had to leave. I couldn't concentrate at all on what i was doing.
Grats to the podium guys. It was a fantastic race.
There was no way i could have got anything better than 4th. No practice at all in a car I've not driven in years was not the way to approach a long race.
I'm gutted at having to pull out with so little time to go. :crying:
Note to self. Hire a masseur before the next race.
I've just had it pointed out that it looked like i spat out my dummy and ran . I'd just like to clarify that was not the case in the slightest. I'm totally gutted at having to quit. I really couldn't take it any longer. There was nothing for me to spit my dummy out about!

If that's your bag. :eyebrow: I'd have a masseuse myself :norty:
Well done Kev on an epic victory. Start to finish + pole position. Stuff of leg ends :D
Some fantastic dueling all round the Arc de Triomphe circuit.
An Excellent light's to flag victory for Kev, Very Well Done :thumb:
I had a fairly uneventful race, and was resigned to 4th when Venca appeared to run out of fuel on the run to the line, and I sneaked a podium place. :D
Well done to all who finished, with a special mention to WildManWild who was a bit off the pace, but persevered until the end, and was very good getting out of the way when required.
Unlucky Moose, but good times considering the lack of praccy.

Opps... that's what you call and epic fail on my part

Now I'm twice as gutted.
cheers guys :D
really enjoyed this combo and its been great be back racing with you guys again
well done to all that finished and bad luck to all that didn't
Yeah got to about the 30 minute mark and my internet disconnected :(
Had a good race up till then though, :) Lots of side-by-side racing heh.
Good combo there, my usual off track visits did not cause significant damage to the "car" and I was able to keep from being lapped for a good while :)
Congrats to the podium runners and unlucky Venca, and special thanks to Sean for the 2 splendid passes on me (got the position back in the pits) - nothing I could do there (although I tried, promise), well done!
Watch your tyres for the next combo...
Congrats Kev :yahoo:

That must have been after he drove onto the middle of the track without looking after having an off and punting me into the barriers which bounced me into orbit and breaking my suspension when I landed ending my race.
Quote from: Jamin;273741Congrats Kev :yahoo:

Yeah but think what might have happened if he hadn't been paying attention :flirty:
Unlucky, mate.
This was a bit of a disappointment for me. I had expected this race to be filled to the brim with close racing and exciting battles. None of that for me, though...
I hopped in to do 2 quali laps just before quali ended; I qualified 21st. I remember thinking "Wow, if I qualified 21st, just how many people are on the server??". Turns out there were 21 people on the server :sideways: Granted, those 2 quali laps weren't my best but I honestly thought to be placed somewhere midfield at least. I felt I was pretty competitive through the week; had some very close races with Lameduck and Deetz, both of whom were near the front of the pack the whole race.
"No worries," I thought, "all the more fighting for me while I move up through the grid :boxing:" Wrong. I moved up one or two places in the first lap due to the inevitable mishaps, but found myself struggling to keep up with Joe Spoong after that. He even started pulling away from me ever so slowly after a few laps.
I finished 10th in the end but how I got there I don't know. I'm sure it's because of people disconnecting, roofing it, doing their engine in, having their steering wheels fall of the desk etc etc... :g:
Oh well, I got 1 point at least :)
And I enjoyed Ron playing the role of race commentator :D It gave me an idea of what was happening in the front of the pack, and he did it with enthusiasm. It certainly made the race a bit more interesting for me. I remember thinking "he should be doing this every thursday, if he's not racing" :)

It would pall very quickly, I can promise you that 100%:lmfao:

I was really quite comfortable with this combo, and during the week was mostly able to keep up with Lameduck, so it might just be that on this combo I wasn't as slow as you would normally expect me to be - normal service will be resumed ASAP.
Of course, it might just be that I'm finally getting to pick up some pace, but I wouldn't bank on it... I think you passed me when we started to get blue flagged, seem to remember you followed someone through. :)

:roflmao: Set your sights a little higher.
Good race Kev and well done to all finishers.
Had my usual race, quite good until concentration lapsed and I changed down to 1st instead of 2nd. I have now been given honarary membership of The LFS Tossers Society. (fully paid up life membership)
Being able to keep up with anyone on dMr seemed out of my reach until recently matey. :)
Anybody got a replay of this they could send, or a link to a download site?
Thanks :thumb:
