I didn't really catch all of the conversation but you can get the gist from Troubled.
I have to say in this case they are both as bad as each other and its basically tough sh1te

When we went on the 10 man last week we waited around in guild chat for about 25 minutes (19:25 uk time) so that we were full up, Jim had got one his mates Firedwarf to Mt it about our 3rd try at XT002 and troubled starts /w'ing me saying "oh i see we are taking anyone in now what about guildies first blah blah" i pointed out to him that we had been sat in g/chat asking for ppl to come (dps healers tanks) for 25 mins and now we were full and in future if you know you wanna come then post in the forums and we'll try if we can to save you a spot"

they should both know better - but they dont because they are young !
and have as much knowledge of life as i have of non alcholic fruit based cocktails.
we need some peace and love back in this guild cos i'm fed up with all the issues we seem to have at the moment, i think we either speak to jim on ts and tell him as nicely as possible how we feel or we ask him to leave.
i personally err on the chat side cos yeah he can be a dong but he is a good player and a dedicated raider and he could be a decent raid assistant/guild servant(with guidance not @ss wiping) at some point in the future, cos i'll tell you what name somebody else who's willing to step up ?????

Nope i have to agree there both a nightmare but i do see potential in jim theres hope there if he could just have a bit of patience.
His continual sighing can be annoying but meh you live with it.
After speaking to troubled last night apparently he new he was in the wrong arguing and is sorry but he was annoyed that when he asked jim to drop it he just kept pushing and wouldnt leave it.
Whos for just locking them in a room till one of them just kills the other?

ok troubled just asked a general question in trade channel and jim had to reply with because dks suck tbh im getting jarred off with the pair of em.
And today's installment.
I was on a bank alt when I saw some Trade chat.
Troubled asked in Trade channel if Blizz were trying to force everyone (DKs) to be frost spec.
Jim replied in trade that it was because all DKs suck.
I told Troubled not to be a dick with Trade channel and to ask in guild. He said he asked in Trade as he did not want to get involved with Jim. I pointed out he failed. Told him to treat Jim like a normal member and to just be normal, if he chooses to not speak with Jim then that's fine but he needs to get along in guild. Also told him to check guild chat first for stuff like his DK question.
I told Jim not to be a dick with Trade channel and that if he has had a falling out with Troubled then it is not wise to take public prods at him. I consider these to be warnings to them both to shape up or someone will ship them out.

I think Jìm's a good player, I really do, but as mentioned earlier, he's a total twat at times. I don't get why he doesn't give it a rest.
On a sidenote... why shouldn't troubled be allowed to ask in Trade about DK's? Surely not the most efficient way but if he wants to.. it's a public channel after all ^^
yup was handing dailies in at the time asked jim why did he say dks duck he then said he changed it to suck so i asked why bother u are both in the same guild then gc when completely quiet lol
I think I worded what I said re Troubled a little too harshly. I did not call anyone a dick, but it is my summary of how I felt they both acted at the end of it. I had actually whispered him to say "bit of a strange thing to ask in Trade channel when you have a perfectly good guild channel you could have used". Using Trade channel for stuff like that is a personal irritation of mine, so maybe I see it as worse than others do, but I suggested that he use gchat in stead of spamming the entire realm.
had a little word with troubled last night - told him to stay out of jims way and that my reaction to him talking to me about the "issue with jim" was

Jims changed spec to disc
his shadow spec is now pvp based as is ultimately useless in pve..
Where'd we stand with this?

its always good to have more cover in the healer camp - especially with tuesdays raid called due to lack of healers - go forth and recruit all!

Just a thought but which healer are we going to decline to make space for him ... Sorry but how the hell would we keep a handle on raids if everyone swaped about as often as this. Im not even gunna mention about his rolls won on dps items that consistant players have missed out on

Im very anti mains and alts... If people wanna swap a roll thay are doing in the raid then they go to the bottom of the stack when we invite. The same happend to Dill and Merk so i dont see this as any different
Infact im kicking a random tank from the raid cause im board of healing and im special enough to be MT :devil: see how ya like them apples

I'm a bit split about it as well to be honest. I mean an extra healer isn't bad but just taking it out of dps camp like that and very random indeed is a tad crud. And like Jas said, Jìm's been gearing up pretty good lately, competing with other dps, and now he's just going healer like that? I think it's a bit wrong. We told him to make up his mind a few months ago when he wanted to raid with both the priest and the pala, and now he switches again just like that. If you ask me he can heal when there's need for it just fine, but his mainspec should stay shadow.
It's not just this but his global attitude of "I just do what I want" that's starting to really **** me off.

There isn't anything wrong with the odd change for someone but this has happened quite a few times with virtually the same people. We need to set out some rules for constantly swapping.
Also did this just come from Tuesday nights raid being cancelled?
Like Garrit i am a little split about it.... If he did it to help the guild Good on him, Did he do it coz he's bored? probably.

Also i am going to make my second spec Healer for when were in the crap....backup only in dire situations becasue i have never done it but my main spec will always be a tank.......started the game a tank and will go out a tank.

To try to stop this sort of thing in other guilds they often introduce a rule where a role change is actually the loss of your raid spot and you go back to trial. If Council do not need that spot then a raid spot may not be open so they might lose their place altogether. Toon changes and role changes need to be approved. If they are back on trial they have zero loot rights unless stuff is rotting on the corpse. That seems ot dissuade the loot whores from making such changes regularly. And he has.

The thing with that is our rather luxurious position in raiding atm *cough*, where we end up having a spot open - rather than having someone go in his stead - if we don't invite him it'll be our loss, and we would probably end up D/Eing the healer loot if we don't give it to him anyway. ><
Action Needed:
Draft & post a rule about the role switching stating that for raiders it is with Council agreement, dependent upon there being a space available and that you lose your 'raider' status and go back to being a trial with no loot priority.
Restart recruitment. Fill those spots and get 'more than full' as we all know that not everyone will show up every night.
And finally..... I would think that it might be good to send Jim a PM worded something like this:

Please give this some though and include Council in your thoughts next time please as if we agree to any role change then we would need time to prepare replacements for the role we are losing and to confirm that we want or need the class role you wish to switch to.
