Ok, I'm testing a new product that I've just added to vBulletin to help track raid signups.
Currently there is no way of changing a signup on the ingame calendar unless you are actually in the game! So if you're stuck at work and will be late, unless you let someone know, people are left hanging.
Enter gWoWEvents.
Instructions.
- See that link above called User CP? Click that.
- In the left menu click Edit Your Details
- Scroll to the bottom and you'll see a new profile field called World of Warcraft Characters
- Using the example fill out your main raiding character. EG, for me it is EU|Aszune|Alliance|Necrojelly
- If you want to enter other characters you can, just carriage return between them so the second character is on a new line. NOTE: Only your main can signup for official dMr 25 mans!
ok, so that bit is done. Your character is now linked to your forum account. The next step is as follows.
- Click the Calendar link which is just to the right of the User CP link.
- That'll open up the current month.
- Look for the raid entry that you want to sign up to and click it
- In the Event Attendance section, select your character
- Select your Attendance, EG Yes On Time
- Enter some comments, EG I'll bring Fishies! (You do need to enter a comment, so even if it's just 'I'll be there')
- Click Submit
And that is all there is to it! NOTE: Armory data can take a few minutes to download, depending on server loads.
Give it a go and let me know your thoughts.

Yeah, one calendar is best ideally but with the blizzard calendar, unless blizzard do something it's not really gonna happen.
This one is really to catch the odd occasion where you're signed up in game but have no opportunity to log in to change your status if you're stuck at work, etc.
Anyway, it's a tryout period and if it doesn't work, then so be it. For me however, it'd be great as I can always access the web, but can only access wow from home.

The only down problem my be the invites but im sure we will work around that.

Trying to use it but it does not seem to like my é & after almost 32 hours now it is still not uploaded from the armory. ><

Yeah, it should work fine, it just won't show your armory data. That's a known issue that is being looked at.

ok, I've finally found out what the problem was. The forum was set to one charset and the database to another! I've now made them both the same so it should work fine now. If you could try that'd be great.
A minor downside is existing chars may be a bit garbled (I've had to update your name because of this!)
Tried it again with my new symbol still waiting to see if it works!! Signed up for tomorrow nights raid.
Super tool! Shame so very few have actually looked at the calendar event (yes, the calendar shows who has looked at the event so we know who is not bothering to keep up to date with guild raids)

:sad: Ok that still does not work...I have an interesting square now instead of my stylish gold spammer stopping é but it is still not gathering my information from the armory....sigh
yeah, unfortunately the chap who wrote the plugin has stopped actively developing it as his guild are using the ingame calendar more and more now so this issue is unlikely to be resolved. I just don't have the time to sift through his code to try and fix it!
And as it's not really being used that much on here either I think it is a failed trial so I will stop adding events and we will rely on the ingame calendar.
So if you cannot attend an event but you are signed up and cannot get ingame to change your status, please post in the forums stating as such otherwise we will plan to go somewhere based on the numbers and class breakdown then have to revise our plans when people don't turn up!
