I had some few drinks too much and i'm wondering, is this Oulston Park?
Bingo! :D
one of the Brands races (http://www.inet.hr/~niklovri/report4/)
and some other Brands (http://www.inet.hr/~niklovri/report3/)
one of the Silverstone races (http://www.inet.hr/~niklovri/report1/)
and some other Silverstone (http://www.inet.hr/~niklovri/report2/)
Not all reports are included, because if you quit the race then .xml report is incomplete? :g:
Great! How did you get those? I couldn't help but notice I got three second places and a suspension. Not a bad evenings work. :D

With this utility (http://rs563gc2.rapidshare.com/files/198601491/Autosim_Analyzer_1.65.zip) called "Autosim Analyzer".
As soon as any session is over, rFactor generates
.xml report, which is located in
UserData\LOG\Results. Naming scheme of these files is a bit not-easy to read, the best thing you can do is sort these files based on date modified, and look at the last few characters, which will indicate what session file relates to, eg.
...SR.xml would mean it's race report.
Reports by themselfs are pretty much unreadable to us, but programs like this one extract all the information and sort it in something like that up.
There are many tools like this, but this one is IMO best in easy-ness-to-use vs. end-result-usability :D
Bit of action from last night
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpmIYPmP6Ns
(embedding youtube here seems to be broken....)
Wow...! :woot2: That looked terrific.
Withdrawals are kicking in already. Luckily I've disassembled everything, so there's no turning back. :flirty:
Absolutely fantastic stuff. :yahoo: Obsolum and I were coming down the other side as you were sitting in your cars grinning at each other! :)
Cracking race, indeed :)
How did you make that video? Did you use fraps? What OS are you using? I tried using fraps to make a video but it crashed rFactor :g:
EDIT: just tried recording a video with Fraps in LFS and it did the same thing; both LFS and Fraps crash. So it's a Fraps issue then. Are there any settings I should pay attention to?
Fraps on XP Pro 32 bit.
I run rFactor in windowed mode at 1280x720 resolution (for the best youtube quality) whilst frapsing (made up words ftw!) it. If i run fullscreen it drops to about 5fps whilst frapsing.
I use 24 FPS and full size settings in fraps.
Then i just chuck the file in windows movie maker and add titles/credits. I downloaded some files so it would output at 1280x720.
It's a 10 min job, plus around 15 mins for movie maker to convert.
(make sure you have plenty of hard drive space. 3 mins of footage was 2.9 GB :) Luckily movie maker reduced it to 130 MB)
EDIT. Never had Fraps crash on me, so i don't know what the problem is i'm afraid.
I've purchased (and in the case of GTL - repurchased) both rFactor and GTL and will be joining you soon :D

Well done. :) We'll look forward to it. :thumbsup2:
Hi Guys
I have found a league in North America (http://efnetcars.mybb3.org/) to run this Mod and with some further detective work found this site (http://www.raceconnect.com//index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1)for you guys. (If anyone was looking:) )
Looks like they run races on Sat. so I might try to get in there too.

I like the look of that...a tad serious maybe? Dunno. :g: It's a busy ole community though eh?
This is REALLY inconsequential. I have spent the best part of the day taking every car in HistoriX and hammering them down the Mulsanne straight! I noted the top speed of them all at the point just before the right hand kink prior to the end.
It IS sad, I confess. That's retirement for you. :D
I was surprised by some of the results, especially at the slowest end.
If you're interested I've attached the list and may God have mercy upon you soul.
Nice! :D A little surprised the 911s didn't do better..
And the Cortina... :lmfao:
Nice to see my precious Capri 3100 is only beaten by 5 others :)
Interesting list, Ron! :)
EDIT: did you fiddle with the gear ratios? Or did you just take every car as they come "out of the box"?

Out of the box.

I asked them, they run races at what would in my case be 3.00 AM Monday morning (Central European Time). Guess i won't be doing it...

..so that's why i couldn't find anyone on the server to race tonight is it? This is no time for your crazy experiments!

8 more years Ron and I'll join you on that retirement thing....must be wonderful :ranting2:

I gave up waiting around for iRacing to give you leave so I went and did some puking instead. :D Damned if I didn't get a lockup/crash out of that as well.
Hello everyone... I'm back... Well not as much as before, new job changed my status to "employed".. Job is nothing special, but better then nothing (uhhm is it :D) Working in the warehouse - my new anthem is "Money for nothing" :lmfao:
I've stomped last week on server on Monday, but was second shift till the end of the week, so are you still running the "old format" - races every day, gathering around 8 - 9 PM (7 - 8 GMT i guess)? I may join sometimes, as now i'm waking up in the early morning - around 5.30 AM CET, (that would be 4.30 GMT) when doing morning shifts, and that is acutally my only chance to drive, as second go all the way to 22.00, or to the 24.00 occasionally...
Job bloddy job. :ranting2: One part of me cries for unemploydness. :norty:
Heh, I've been unemployed for 2 months now and I'm used to it :D I was thinking to myself earlier today what it would be like to have to go to work again every day. Get up in the morning, work all day,... bah. Of course, I'm renovating our house so I've got lots to do, I've been busier these past 2 months than I was in the 2 years before that. I still have to get up early in the morning and work all day, even harder and longer than when I still had a job. And... I don't even get paid for it! But at least I'm working for myself :)
Anywho, the server won't be up as Doorz is having router problems. He'll try to sort it out as soon as possible.
Don't knock 'employed' mate, lots of people would grab the chance. Specially in these uncertain times.
I've been having router problems as I've mentioned elsewhere, but we'll be up and running during the week. (Please )
It's good to have you back Smithy. :D
Welcome back Lovretta, catch you soon :D
I think this beats the 'roll' at Wanneroo :D

That roll cage doesn't come into the 'good' category either. :lmfao:

For anyone in the UK with Freeview.
Did you see the program GT Racer on Dave today?
It was all about racing classic GT cars round Spa and they had loads of the cars that feature in HistorX. Great to see the real things being thrashed round Spa :D

I've seen that series several times. There's one about the American scene from Laguna Seca. I always watch them as if for the first time. Luvly! :)
I'm going to be touring round Europe for the next 3 weeks so you wont see me online for a bit :narnar:
We're going to be catching a ferry to Dunkerque then driving through Belgium to Germany.
First stop in Germany is Holiday-park, this has one of the top rated coasters anywhere in the world (I love coasters) -
http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/photo.php?pageid=124&linkid=1227
http://www.coasterforce.com/Expedition_GeForce
Then driving down to Freiburg, Germany, to go on the highest/fastest roller coaster in Europe
http://www.coasterforce.com/Silver_Star - also this coaster, Blue Fire, at the same park - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNMBQssRTzU
Then, weather depending, we are aiming for the Top Gear best driving roads - http://www.redlineblog.com/top-gears-worlds-best-driving-road-in-detail/ (not the Turini one)
This means going South East through Switzerland and into a bit of Italy. Then from the San Bernardino Pass driving to Chamonix for the Aguile du Midi, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aiguille_du_Midi (check out the pictures), and then on to Laragne. Hope to stay about a week and a half at Laragne then drive straight back up through France.
Rough route down is like this -

Have fun online see you in a while :D
Sounds very nice! :) I envy you, have a nice trip. Drive safe!
Sounds like fun! Enjoy yourself :)
Brilliant! No more to say. :D
