I am currently looking at getting a HDtv and ps3 for my room and was seeing if any1 knows a well priced one?
I am currently looking at this model (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0018NLVOM/300002330-21/?m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE) (Samsung T260) my old tv is 26" and is in a specially made unit so thats the reason for the size. And if anyone is selling a ps3 let me know :)
Can't go wrong with Samsung I think.
But you gearing up again, had second thoughts about the US of A?
I brought myself an LG for xmas, very nice - worth a look at, it took some time to set it up to how I wanted it, but I think half of that was getting used to the differance between a 14inch mono portable tv to a 22inch widescreen.
LG, Samsung and Toshiba are the 3 I've had most experience with. I know Toshiba seems an unlikely name but seeing it in the shop we (my family) were blown away. Bought 2 in the space of a year, one for the living room and one for the gym. I've got an LG myself and my little brother went for one too.
Samsung are also top notch. I'd go to your local electronics store and see which jump out at you. Then hunt them down online. Trust me, don't skip over the Toshibas (great picture, value for money and connectivity).

As Tbag said, TV's and such are getting cheaper, hunting for a TV checking on daily offers is a good thing to do atm.
Short holiday? My place is yours m8.
I'm renting one of the new Panasonic Viera jobbies - and it's fantastic.
They get my reccomendation :)
