Acording to a few websites Valve is to announce L4D 2 at E3 :)
I highly doubt it will be a sequel with l4d being less then a year old, but rumors are rumors so you never know :D

hey they announced the duke nukem sequel 14 months after the last game and.......................................................
ill ney hold me breath
It would be VERY unlike valve to start work on a whole new game this soon. They're still working on TF2, CS:S and DoD:S are all still chugging along. Some of the most popular games online still years after release. I can't L4D 2 in the works yet. Not ruling it out though, I could be wrong.
It could just be a console thing to release new campaigns which will be streamed to the PC users.
I'd be very suprised if there isn't a L4D2 in some early stage of development, but I'd be even more surprised if they announced it now.
I'd imagine that Valve are probably working quite hard on HL3 behind closed doors. At least, I hope they are...
Maybe its more DLC? rather than a whole new game.

They will i expect more likely to announce another dlc or HL3 than a full sequel to l4d. A new CSS is expected and i reckon a whole new game engine with as usual the main half life game showcasing before the official mods like dod etc get reworked.

confirmed
The HL2 episodes were always supposed to be a trilogy, so we've got one more ep to come before HL3 :)
It says the game will also be out for the PC. I wonder if it'll be free. If it isn't I think they'll have a LOT of unhappy customers. This is very unlike valve.
Very strange this, wouldnt it be easier to implement the new maps, chars and weapons in the current build? Tbh l4d2 doesn't really look different than l4d.

It'll be very different by the seems of it. It'll have 5 campaigns.
Being serious though some new weapons, death scenes and alike are minor changes compared to TF2 that has had MANY new weapons, maps unlocks etc and general improvements, whereas L4D has had a lighthouse level and come November probably nothing more. Disappointing.
I meant that it didnt look very different graphic wise, obviously there will be lots of new thigns to play with, but nothing that they couldnt have released as DLC imo.
