My name is Andy, from Aylesbury in the UK. I'm 47 and I'm in a busniness development role in the science industry. I've been separated for 2 years, and have 3 kids over 16.
I have a business-speed internet connection, because I work from home a lot and need good net speed. PC is a Dell Vostro 200 with 3GB RAM. Been playing WoW for over 2 years. Other games for longer than that - all sorts - sports, driving, strategy, etc
Haven't done a huge amount of raiding in the past because haven't really had the time in the evenings. I have more time now though, so I'm keen to join an experienced guild to help me improve.
In Elune Elites atm, mainly coz it's a friendly guild and was easy to 'sit' in there to lvl this toon, and my alts. I have 2 other lvl80 alts - a ret spec pally and a dps warrior

Plans for the game....want to get better at raiding and get some epics to increase my dps. I want people to know me as a friendly guy who enjoys the interaction with his guildies. I love this game because it's the only internet-based game that I've played where I can interact so easily with others and work as a team to complete quests. One thing I don't like is how tough the argent tournament is for me at the moment - lol.

I decided on a dps priest, because I had so much fun with my horde frost mage at lvl70 (imba dps), but wanted a different class. Found a lock to be a little boring (got a lvl63 horde lock), so priest was chosen. I was holy pally in raids at lvl70 and didn't enjoy it, so wanted to add ranged dps to my alliance game play.
I wanted a ranged dps character, so i chose shadow spec over the other builds. Didn't want to heal in raids any more. This was also my first toon to lvl80.
Comment on your build. Why did you choose it? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those? (important question)
This guild
Obviously I'm looking for a friendly helpful guild, and, as I want to do more raiding, one that can help me gain experience with my class. I like the social side, and 2 rl friends are also in DMW. Fatdog and Bellanie suggested that I join, so I can go raiding with them.
The comments on philosophy are perfectly aligned with my own. I would prefer to have shorter raids, based on sensible times to be on WoW. The social aspect is also important to me, and I hope to be able to input on discussion points too. I definitely do not think I know t all - far from it.
Annoying questions
I would whisper them and say why I found their comment offensive, and hopefully sort it out.
