Option 1: e should delete the thread and all content from the forum votes: 2
Option 2: e should edit the topic title to be prefixed with EXPIRED and retain content. votes: 5
Option 3: e should consider the alternatively funky idea I have outlined in the thread below. votes: 1

Just a quicky, the Internet Bargains section.

This section is moderated by Sulky. We currently delete expired offers.  My question is should we be:

  • Deleting them as we are now
  • Editing the thread title with EXPIRED but leaving the content in place
My view is that I prefer the latter option as it retains content for future reference.  The offer might have expired, but the comments that this gfx card is not as good as another get deelted when we delete the entire thread.  It also makes the section look desolate to a member who cannot see all the deleted posts that Admins can.

So, quick poll.   Delete or EXPIRED in the thread topic please.

Good plan, I like the expired option.

There's enough review sites and areas in our forum for feedback without adding another one. Delete the expired in my opinion. KISS.

Personally I think it's good to see what offers have been - expired or not. It's a good benchmark imho.

Ok, seems to have a reasonable majority, so closing the thread at 5-2 in favour of "We should edit the topic title to be prefixed with EXPIRED and retain content."  I'll advise Sulky.

Sheepy's ballot was spoilt, but that's no surprise eh?  :P
