if they are personal recomends then its not a problem to get them in as a social level and get them help in the guild, then when they are ready introduce them to raiding

Yeah, I feel that the concerns are well founded. He's been in many guilds over the last several months and my main concern is that he joins, runs raids over a few weeks, grabs epics and then leaves leaving the guild out of pocket as the epics would have been better going to our regular members.

I personally feel, for the good of everyone here, that this is one app we should not accept.

On that note might be worth considering an official trial period. In my previous guild you got accepted, but could not claim any loot another main wanted for main spec, until the duration of the trial with full membership being granted. Just a suggestion, although it could be considered unfair by some.

I was surprised there was no trial period in DMR, if nothing else to evaluate attendance, skills and personality, but I never agreed with a system where a player who helps out to kill a boss is denied to share the loot. Each person counts. Anyhow, our rolling and dropping down to the bottom of the loot list, per se, prevents greedy behaviour.

I'm not speaking in favour of the applicant, but in favour of the easy going and generous nature DMR members have when dealing with loot. Both within the guild and when we bring either new members or outsiders to instances.

acutally there is a trial period - although it is hidden a bit!

we keep an eye on people typically for a month and make sure that they are contributing well to the guild - we dont restrict loot because we are of the feeling that if you are there and killing the boss then you have a right to the loot - although as we have always said officers have disgression, ie if we are on a progress boss and a bit of highly prized loot drops we may well over ride the rolls and give it to a long serving member

Hey All,
just to let you know i have moved Dunter to my previous guild as a friend of mine asked me for some help in trying to save it, atm its falling apart at the seams on him:( its only a social guild but its been around for the last 2 years and its the first guild that i found when i joined the game all that tmie ago. So i am going to try and give him a hand to save if not then Dunter will be back shortly. He has given it 1 month to try and get it running properly again if not then he is going to disband it:(

I hope this isn't a problem, but i thought i would give you a heads up on it. I will still be online for the raid on bell:)
