Title: Valve Half-life 2 Benchmark Numbers
Post by: TeaLeaf on September 12, 2003, 07:40:44 AM
There is a nice article over here (http://www20.tomshardware.com/business/20030911/index.html) that runs through the relative performance of various types of graphics card when running the fully-DX9 compliant HL2 graphics engine.  It is fairly interesting to see the results and underlines the other article I posted here recently that discussed benchmark performance versus real world performance.

TL.

"At the end of the presentation, Valve´s Gabe Newell explained that his choice to launch Halflife 2 in cooperation with ATi was heavily influenced by the findings he just presented."

Er, Mr Newell, you appear to have dropped this fat brown envelope stuffed with dollar bills...   <_<
