I have not heard of this problem myself, I'll do a bit of digging and see what I can come up with for you DA.

The only thing I have found is:
Other than that I have not found a single comment about the client causing any stability problems at all (cosmetic issues, yes, but not stability issues).

Are you absolutely sure it is the F@H client that is causing your problems or did you forget to pay your subsrciption to the pron site that kicked you out?   ;)

Gotta side with DA here ...

My CS and BF1942 drop back to desktop if the client is running.

OK, further research suggests:

QuoteThere are a number of issues relating to programs written in OpenGL, which includes the GUI version of FAH and many games. In fact, WinXP has a bug in their implementation of the tooltips where they don't display properly with another OpenGL application running.

The usual recommendation is that you check the drivers for your video board to see if there is a later version that has better support for OpenGL, but that won't help if it happens to be a problem in Baldurs Gate II.

The easiest fix, of course, is to switch from the GUI version to the no-nonsense Console version, which doesn't use OpenGL.
Do you run the console or graphical version?

This (http://forum.folding-community.org/viewtopic.php?p=38473&highlight=#38473) is another related thread and mentions a possible hotfix.

OK, I have finished my reading on the problem (aka I can't find any more info on it) and coem to the conclusion that all yout troubles will disappear when you switch to the console version :)

Of course my theory will be somewhat hosed if you now come back and tell me you already do....

No problems here, but I had to install the beta GUI client after the regular one wouldn't even install itself
