Title: All-time top 20 adventure games
Post by: delanvital on July 12, 2009, 03:10:55 PM
Seeing the list (http://www.adventuregamers.com/article/id,186) I can not help but miss the Scumm-based Lucasfilm games... and wish there was more along those lines today (and I know that MI1 is on its way in a reworked version, but that is not exactly new...)

I was a huge fan of Curse of Monkey Island which is sadly missing. I agree with many of the other ones on the list that I've played. Beneath a Steel sky is great and it's free (you can get it from the repositories on Linux), Sam and Max hit the road also classic.
I have had Day of the Tentacle hanging around for ages and not got round to playing it. I guess if it's the best of the best I'll give it a whirl.

Day of the Tentacle is awesome, be sure to give it a go. Tbh, I don't think Full Throttle should be on the list. It might be because I played this years after release, but it seems poor and way to linear, for lack of a better word.
