Royal Navy destroy a drug running speed boat

Is it just me or do they seem to be pretty awful shots? :blink:. I've been on a Frigate in the Med watching live firing practice and I don't remember it being *quite* so bad.....
They probably held a sweepstake onboard for who gets to take the shots and the cook won :lmfao:
omg! what is the point in blowing a perfectly good speed boat up, why dont the police just take it and sell it to put the money back into society, mind you that would be too logical wouldnt it! :blink:

And absolutely no fun at all!!:devil::D:D
I would assume they were trying at the outside edge of their range and had a bit of training and possibly a bet or two.
Just a pity they took the smugglers out first.
Erm, what are the British Navy doing off the coast of S.America? (Besides shooting up some perfectly good speedboat).
Or do you lot have Empirical pretensions again?
*crawls back under green, white & gold flag for cover*
most of the shots if you look close enough are just in the water in front of the boat, this is so the rounds penetrate below the water line. This would speed up the sinking process.
As for the missed ones you have to remember that the ebb and flow of the sea in relation to the target and from the gun would also have an effect on the fall of shot.
In the old fashioned days with the 8 gun 15inch broadside battleships they had rudimentary computers which calculated the movement of the ship, track of target, wind direction, wind speed and the majority of the times these huge shells missed, although when they hit they ruined your day, this guy had a stabilised sight which is just a set of crosshairs constantly moving around the target.
needless to say i thought they did good :thumbsup:

That's what I thought at first. but there's a panning shot of the gun then the speed boar and it ain't that far.
And Sulks, you're far too serious :flirty:
What a waste of shells!
I'm quite surprised they didn't just surrender to it.
:roflmao::roflmao:
Sad but true.
