AION is due out in one month now so we'd like to start to understand how many people intend to play AION, so if you are hoping to try the game then please post here in the thread and vote in the poll.

We're also interested in knowing if you would be willing to help run a a dMw guild within AION when the game launches.  Again, please vote to indicate your willingness to help!

Thank you.

My preference is Elyos, but if deadmen makes a guild on the Asmodian side, than I'll follow.

edit: Handn't seen the multiple answer possibility, so I should have checked all of them, rather than just the last one.

I'll be giving this ago. I've decided on Asmodian and assuming there's a RP server I'll most likely be on that. If not I'll certainly come join you on whatever realm you choose. Even if it's just to kill you poncy Elyos scum :norty:

No not a 14 day free trial, you can however download the game and play 6 hours for free.

Interesting note is, you don't pay for 60 days like with wow, you play for time units.
Which should make it cheaper for most off you out there, for example:

lets say that an avarage player plays 4-6 hours a day. That would result in 120-180 hours a month.
As i've read it and understanded it, in the USA they will pay 18 dollars, for 100 time units, which means 205 hours of play time. resulting in almost 7 hours of play time, a day, per month, for 4 hours a day for 50+ days!
Not only that, if you have exams, bussiness trip, etc. you'll even keep your credits after a that month :D
They also mentioned a 8 dollar prescription, which gives you 50 time units, so you can gradually work away your prepaid total, if you might have build up a lot :)

I'd be interested in giving this a go.

Assuming there's some sort of free trial, and that I don't think its rubbish of course :)

Do you have a source for that info?  I know that's how it is charged in asia but I hadn't heard of that being applied in the west, and plaync account management is showing monthly subscription as per their other games...

OK I'm thinking I should get on board with this one. Having missed out on WoW perhaps this would be a good one to go.

Looks like there's been a lot of prelim work done so nice one guys. Now I'm back from hols I'll have a read through and work out what, where and how I get it.

Cheers

Scratch that. I've spent a bit more time reading up on this one and it doesn't really float my boat. Also I probably cannot stretch to three monthly subs either and I'm not willing to drop either WOW or LotRO for this one.

I'm also less than happy with the proposed anti cheat system the game uses.

Have fun folks. :D

Quote# Steam - Launching game through Steam, GameGuard reports Steam as a "Game Hack" and shuts down the game. [12]

Really?  I launch via Steam and have had no problems.

Can't say gameguard's ever given me problems, and I've played a few games that use it.  My brother had a problem which I think he resolved by running the game as admin.

2 Classes i quite like are the warrior and priest.
