A first working example of something I'm messing about with while looking at writing code for android... (and I use 'working' very loosly here) :P

At the moment it's just the raw response from a Source server query, but it raises some interesting possibilities...

Tidied things up a bit and pulled some more useful info:

Nice idea!

Wouldn't it be great if the server(s) were to send an email to admin(s) when there is a problem or when people on server are saying specific words like "ADMIN REQUIRED".

Email picked up on their Android device

Rcon the server to deal with the problem, all while supping coffee in Starbucks :narnar:

Actually I had a similar idea, except I think on android if you leave the app running in the background it can use a widgit to pop open a notification automatically if someone says 'admin' or something. I'd need to figure out how to make it watch the server log first though. :)

You can already get an addon to email you, it basically emails you a message if someone types admin and a message after it...

eg, 'admin some noob haxxxors is haxxing up the server'


so ur in starbucks and you get an email from some 14 year old saying 'some noob haxxxors is haxxing up the server'.


Its one of the event scrpit addons if you really want it!
