It seems steam has fecked its own cache file that it uses to work out if there are any update to put on the server. I've gotta stop meathook and re-run steam update.
Seems this server issues forum is gonna get quiet busy from now on

Happened to my server last night. It kept offering to delete the 12mb cache file but even screwed that up. In the end I manually deleted the dedicated server cache file and let it download a new one. took half an hour to sort that one out :(
the server was only down five mins but the problem still persists. I deleted the cache file now the fekin peice of steaming shit complains about somthing else.
Chaser anybody?
