Has anyone been following this thread?

Somebody claims to have seen Rockingham in LFS at in a booth at Rockingham last weekend.
I've seen the thread but haven't read it. Someone throws out a rumour and boom, you've got a 7 page thread within a couple hours. It's retarded. So someone supposedly saw a new track in a LFS simulator at Rockingham. Remember how we initially found out about the Scirrocco? In pretty much the exact same way. Have we got the Scirrocco yet? No, we don't. I see the same thing happening with this new track.
Scawen should just hurry the hell up and get the update out. I've always been supportive of Scawen's way of working but this farce has been going on long enough now. We're nearing the end of September for goodness sake.
Here are pictures that are supposed to be proof:

Here is another one that shows LFS in a new way.

I agree with Obsolum.. sure, if this is real then it's great news, but until it's confirmed by a dev I'm not letting myself get overly excited. :)
But this might explain in part what Eric has been up to lately!
It is confirmed! :yahoo:

QuoteWe want to get Rockingham to you sooner rather than later, but we don't know what will come up between now and when it is ready for release.
Don't get too excited, it may be a long (loooong looooooooooong looooooooooooooong) wait :flirty:
EDIT: I gotta say that the screenshots of the new track look good. I'm glad they laser scanned it. Maybe now it will feel like an actual race track instead of a pool table.
good news indeed :D
Yes that will be good for LFS. Hope to see it soon.
And I for one does not mind that we need to have an S3 license to get it.
You know, I'm used to pay for quality content. :D
And S3 owners will eventually get an extra car too.

Don't be a bitch. :D
Really looking forward to this, i always wished there would be some real tracks in lfs. As for the cars, i'm perfectly ok to drive some "fantasy" cars, but always wanted to have some real track. And it's gonna be laser scanned. Fantastic!
Nice to know the devs have been really tackling quite a few things in the last year .....
Should be a great addition - and hope more real tracks will come eventually.
No big hurry from my point of view - the weekly combo here keeps me busy enough for now :D

I'm not trying to be, but over at the LFS forums the whining has already begun.
i personally won't mind buying the s3 licence for extra content :D
it should cover us for future updates aswell. so looking at the amount of use i got out of my s2 licence,
it should mean it will be great value for money

You mean you're used to paying for
renting quality content :flirty:

Yes that too!
But don't be fooled in to thinking LFS is yours forever. If the main server and network backbone where removed, online racing would not be possible.

Hmm, wouldn't it still be possible for someone to just setup a server of their own for people to join? Obviously automatic skin downloading and LFS World features wouldn't work anymore :g: You've got a good point, though.

No, but I think you could use the built in server system to make an "in house" server and using some sort of 3'rd party software to make that server visible from the internet. This method was at least possible earlier, not sure if it is now.

I was kidding with you.

It's what they do best. I read some threads and I'm amazed at the inanity of the majority of posters there. :lmfao:
