Not the best solution to keeping them cool :D

I have been working hard on this combo and I am starting to enjoy it.
I did some good practice last night and got down to 2:07 in a by no means perfect lap.
So if I can get constant <2.09 I think I will join you fellas this thursday for the big Race :)
No race reports this far from the Thursdays 1h race. I guess everyone spent more time focusing on the tires instead of fighting the other drivers. The first half of my race was interesting with close racing with Oldbloke and then with Jamin, but during the second half I saw only Venca, who also soon disappeared into distance. The new combo will for sure give us more action and close battles.
Was a great race for me :)
I felt I could have done better in qualifying, but was good enough for 5th.
I started on the outside of the track, which is difficult here with the long fast right oval section into the sharp right, I couldn't help but let CrazyR1 and Jamin through with Romus also having a look in T3, but I manged to keep him behind :narnar:
Was down to 7th place following close behind Somebody and Jamin for a number of laps when I decided I could either stay there and look after the tyres, or fight for a higher position. So I went on the attack!
Lap 6, after the fast chicane I took a dive up the inside of Somebody and managed to hold on for the pass. Lap 8 was behind Jamin, who went defensive in T5 but came across the track for the racing line, seeing a gap, and also not wanting to crash into the back of him I went for the gap and took his 5th place :flirty:
CrazyR1 was 2 seconds in front, so I kept pushing and caught him by lap 10 and made my move by slipstreaming on the fast oval section and taking 4th place. That was the first 20 mins which could be worth a replay :D
Not much action for me after that, Seany seemed to be a constant 5 secs in front. Cueball was in a comfortable 2nd place but was unfortunately caught speeding in the pits and got a drive-through, unlucky mate. I finally finished 3rd, 1.2secs behind Seany (2nd), and 15secs behind Venca (1st)
Well done everyone, and nice not to have any retirements or discos.
Surprised, as the week went on it became more enjoyable. I think I've finaly worked out thet going slower is a lot quicker. The race, or in my case follow!!
Decided to try for consistancy that kept the tyres longer and hope that someone would cook theirs, ( no such luck on that point). Somebody came up behind me and I kept him there for a few laps until I cooked my own tyres, Still a good learning to race session. Pitted but kept the same tyres.Thought I was going to get lapped by Venca until he pitted. Finished still doing 2.03s and the occasional .02 with good tyres. PB about lap 10?
Enjoyed. Watch out the Pink Peril is slowly catching up!!
Thanks all
BoB
Was pretty much a battle of tyres for me for most of the race. I was pleased with my consistency, not making any real mistakes for the whole race. Venca and Cueball flew off at the start gradually pulling away from me on each lap.
I got promoted to 2nd place after Cueball got a speeding penalty (unlucky mate). During the last few laps I was starting to get pressure from Dee slider who was slowly gaining on me, I managed to hang on to my 2nd place however :yahoo:.
Well done Venca
Good combo apart from looking at tyres more than the track:)Race started well battleing with Seany for first few laps then he lost me so i was just trying to hold Dee off which didnt last long:doh:After that i just had to keep it steady to make the tyres last to 1/2 way.2nd half was quiet apart from Cueball retaking his place after his drive through.Good race:yahoo:
