How about this:
=======================================
Guys, the admins are looking at the way we currently present PCS to the wider community. We are looking at several aleternatives to a) make it more attractive to people and B) more accurately describe what we do.
We are not sure yet what shape or form this might take but once we have some solid plans together we will post some more information here.
=======================================
There, that didn't hurt did it? It is called courtesy by the way :rant:

:huh:
I think OB did just a few posts up.
I think Blueballs point was that it required a prompt from him in order to get it.
[/me ducks back down again]
Hmm
I didnt really mean to start a flame war here.
I actually thought it was a typo on the server Login screen.
The title of the forum as been there some weeks apparently but It didnt register as a significant change to me.
I dont really care what we call it as long as it reflects the way we play and that we continue to play that way.

I am not sure it needed a prompt at all, as all MHPCS members will be told as and when the changes are made. As yet no changes have been made, hence there has been no need for any comment. However, when we migrated the forums to Invision it made sense to set it up the text as TCS rather than PCS - this saved us future work. Likewise, when we went through the mostrosity of the server upgrade formerly known as 'steam' we decided to update the server files to reflect a TCS name. Had the timing of 1.6 and the need for a forums upgrade not conspired against us we would not have made these textual changes, nobody would have noticed and all would have been well with the world.
So now you know some changes are coming, but nobody need be afraid or concerned. The Admins put in a lot of work behind the scenes to keep the Meat Hook, Baldric and the Forums on track. Please have faith in them for just a little while longer. Thank you.

First off I don't want a flame war OK? Right with that in mind let's go...
"all members will be told as when changes are made". We've already started to see changes and it took prompts from the members to find out what is going on. Is it going to be "no discussion, just tell them that things have changed"?
I'm sorry that I misunderstood. I thought things were a bit more open than that in dMw :(
If there are changes planned (and OBs post hinted that there were marked changes planned) then I feel very strongly that, at a minimum, the dMw clan members should have been informed. As I said in an earlier post, I do not think it is unreasonable for people to be informed - maybe we will love what "the admins" are planning and maybe we will hate it and maybe some of the dMw peeps might have some cracking ideas that haven't been considered. Please just do us the courtesy of letting us know.
PS I don't have any cracking ideas so don't get your hopes up :)

No flame war assumed, so no offence taken - I was just trying to answer the questions and explain why things hadn't gone entirely to plan. As I said, info would normally be available if it were not for the timing of certain things, some of which were beyond our control. We intend to follow through with the info in due course. Our original intention was that you would have been in an informed position, without having to prompt - it just didn't work out that way - we're sorry.
I would hope that you still see dMw as an open clan, I believe that we are one of the most open you will ever come across, but group decision-making dynamics very often leads to 'half an answer' in an attempt to satisfy 'all of the people all of the time'. Hence most organisations are run by a core group with shortened reporting chains. There is a fine line to tread between autocracy and democracy - we hope we get it right most of the time!
For the moment, please be patient with us, we're human and we guarantee that we will make mistakes, but we try our best to get it right and don't intend to offend anyone.
