Seriously it seems very cheap. There are still big five bedroom detached family houses around here (Harrow) with that sort of price tag. And they're not Castles in 3.5 acres :blink:

We're toying with the idea of moving out from Surrey. Neither of us work in London and don't need to be in the area we do paying the premium for being in the commuter belt and surrounded by ridiculously wealthy people just like we're not.
We thinking we could sell our house - buy somewhere just as big for half the price (near a nice little school), lose/reduce our eye-wateringly large mortgage and have a nice quality of life for the kids :).

Australia? Didn't know you were looking.... Will make coming to the LAN's a bitch but you argue with the quality of life. Haven't been to Aus for a long time but lived in Sydney and on the Gold Coast for a year and loved every minute of it. You'd fit right in :wink:
