This Thread is to draw together new games that you feel could be worth a shot.
Post them here and i'll take it from there.
Give a brief overview of the game why it should be adopted and what you would like server wise.
Current Games being analysed for adoption- Medal of Honour -* again made by dice the multiplayer part anyway and itââ,¬â,,¢s a mod.
- Bioshock infinite- very little info on this could have a good multiplayer
- DeadSpace 2
- Portal 2- confirmed co-op unsure on how many people
- Call of Duty Black Ops- same engine as mw2 but developed by treyarch. Depending on how nice IW are depends whether they can add deicated servers or not as they might not be able to tweak the internal tweaking of the game and therefore make dedicated servers. Remember this was the case with cod 4 and its second world war variant world at war.
- HL3, LFD3, HL2-Episode 3, CS new variant- all possibles no word yet but episode 3 and hl3 are confirmed as in development
- Black mesa source- hl1 converted to hl2 engine. third party mod in development for years still no release date. possible multiplayer but more likely singleplayer only.
- Crysis 3- possible multiplayer again few details
- Goldeneye source- could be good at the lan finally in final beta/ gold stages
- Day of defeat source- proved a hit with the first variant at lans how about giving this one a go?
Current Trials
I know this is a very early call, but I'd love to see Diablo 3 get adopted once it's released.
Just a very early heads up ;)
early call too
Starcraft 2 <3
I wonder what the Avatar game will be like..... :g:
Starcraft 2 must be worth a shout, the multiplayer aspect of it is going to be colossal..
Further ahead can I suggest:
Rage - The new iD Software FPS, possibly out next year?
Aliens vs Predator - Again, out next year I believe - but the original had some of the best multiplayer ever
Natural Selection 2 - Orignally a Half-Life mod, the sequel is to be a stand-alone game in a new custom-built engine. Massive teamwork potential.
Aliens: Colonial Marines - Co-op Aliens. Need I say more?
Star Wars: The Old Republic - An MMO with massive potential. One to watch.
That's all I can think of for now :)

I remember co-op mode defending that bunker as marines in the AVP1 was insanely fun
And i agree with the old guy below

Not to me. Sign me up. Where do I pay? :woot2:
I remember playing AVP2 a few years back on-line and crapping myself.... i do hope the new one lives up to the old one. Aliens following/jumping through vents at you was pretty intense :D
Its by far one of my favourite on-line games bloody awesome!!
AVP one was was of my all time favourite FPS games. I'd love to see it turned into a nice modern multiplayer game.

Wash your mouth out with soap :ranting2::narnar: AvP 1 was absolutely fantastic, especially the modes where you are a load of marines co-op against the incoming alien hordes. AvP 2 was OK, but Monolith's imagining using the NOLF engine just couldn't hold a candle to the original Rebellion game, and Rebellion are back on this one.
Borderlands should be worth a look too, if you fancy your co-op action.
Picking it up tomorrow
AvP 2 was terrible. Horrific use of software that stopped me using my cd drive while it was installed etc, gameplay was completely mess with too. First one was great over a lan.

Me too - if you fancy some online goodness :)
Apparently has a few bugs that need ironing out - ie sometimes doesn't save/or scrubs your items!
Voip on permanently
But it won't be long before they patch it I'm sure.
Take a look at this

Battlefield Bad company 2

.. is some way off yet. :(
I guess the fact you could be a Predator Alien in AVP2 online stole it for me or was that AVP1?
I don't recall being able to play as a pred-alien in either DA, I am however very much loking forward to the new AvP, the 1st was what started me playing online games & to know Rebellion is back makes it all the better, AvP2 was ok, but nothing compaired to the fun of the 1st/AvP GE.
There was one type of Predator in AvP 1. There were more (3?) in the second game and it utterly ruined it for me as they were all far weaker than the original game which was pretty well balanced.
In the original I picked Predator, my younger brother picked marines and my older picked Alien. We all thought our character was the best and didn't fight over who got to be what. In the second I had a load of technical problems which meant I couldn't see drives of my computer while it was installed so didn't play it much but from what I could tell the balance was way off.

QuoteThe PC version of licensed shooter Aliens vs Predator will support dedicated servers, according to a new statement made by British developer Rebellion.

Also the same guys that did the 1999 pc version - which incidentally is being released on steam soon.
Deus Ex III - looks good..
The only game I'm looking forward too, is WoW: Cataclysm. Nothing more, but certainly nothing less.
Huge Update!
