Its here and its pretty awesome to play both singleplayer and multiplayer.
In game its confirmed it doesn't have dedicated server support but it does have private match support.
Now i'd like to see it go into trial status if possible as its new fresh and we should try and get in on it early on regardless of the dedicated server fiasco.
The only issue is that we cannot see our full current steam names in game due to the character limit when having the dMw tag infront of our chosen gaming name.

I am going to put up a topic to ask people to reply to it confirming whether they own a copy or not and we will take it from there.
Don't want to turn this into an outpouring of negativity so I will just say that I won't be supporting this game or its adoption by dMw, the reasons are obvious.
Given the huge outpouring of sentiment already about the shitty way IW are doing things, do we really want to go down this road?
I'm not sure if you read the rest of the posts in the public section but out of the entire community, the only people who have bought it are yourself and DA.
We discussed this at length at the LAN and given the lack of dedicated server it is dead in the water for us as a community. I'm not sure where this will end up or where people envisage it ending up, but with no server how can we even begin to look at having it as a game.
By all means post up in banter that you'd liek a game, but I don't think it warrants a discussion in here.

MW2 was discussed at the last Admin meeting and the decision was that dMw would not be supporting this game. No dedicated server = no community, so we're not going there, simple as that.
Personally I'd rather not try to promote privately-hosted games as it spreads our active gamers out into non-supported games whereas I would prefer to see them in our supported servers. It's a free country though and people can decide to play it or not.

We will leave MW2 until the dedicated server part has been added and i'll keep an eye out for any further mods/ community tools that may become available to do just that.
