Post by: albert on September 23, 2003, 03:18:28 PM
Got me a new mobo and cooler for my old pc, hope these are the bits that went fuber on it. I want to build this as a spare Linux server.

Item: Coolermaster Aero7 Lite Fan Upto Xp3200 Skt A with Speed Adjustment
Qty: 1
Cost: £9.45

Item: PC Chips Syntax SKT A Via KT266 DDR/SDR ATA 133 Sound/LAN/USB 2.0
Qty: 1
Cost: £21.99

From EBuyer. I hope the GFX card isn't the bit thats gone fuber.

Ewwww...  I ordered 3 Pc chips boards and i've had NOTHING but problems with them.  Eventually i've had to return 1 twice and the 2 other's sometimes even refuse to post.  I'd certainly never buy Pc chips again.

But the aero 7 is top stuff and quiet as a mouse.

JB: did you use the 3.5" floppy bay mount for the Aero 7 fan controller?  Only I'd heard they don't fit all that well, and CoolerMaster are reworking the design.

Actually mine wasnt the speed controllable one, just came set at 1 speed which was about 2000 rpm.
