ROFL

Sorry I had to get that out of the way.  Firstly seeing an application from Sheryl and then seeing Jim query a discipline build when he never had his own build right despite being told for 11 months.  Blind leading the blind is funny.  But now to the case in point:

Jim raises some of the points about build.  In addition I would question lack of FH glyph (he has renew instead), 5/5 Divine Fury is a waste as you only ever cast it with the 5/5 Borrowed Time hasted buff which gives precisely the same result but without having to spend the 5/5 in Div Fury.  He'd also be better off with some Spell Warding and less Healing Focus (1/2 is sufficient).  Anyway, build is ok, but not educated to full raid standard imo.

Sheryl's Background:
Joined Genesis back in early TBC whilst we were working our way through Tempest Keep.
Was a great healer if he could stand there and spam COH all day long and not have to move.
Crafted and wore a FULL arcane resistance set for Void Reaver as he was so **** at moving away from Orbs.
Wore a FULL fire resistance set for Alar.
This unfortunately made him a laughing stock in Genesis and the ass end of a huge number of jokes whenever his mobility issues surfaced.
Eventually was told to seek another guild (Genesis healing leader at the time, Torir, had problems failing people so told him we were reducing the number of raid spots for priests) and he eventually went to Prometheus.
Played in Eureka and drove Willhunting nuts with immobility and slow pick up of fights.  Will's comment this afternoon about Sheryl:
Quote[14:04:57] [W From] [80:Willhunting]: Dedicated and loyal but pretty slow learning curve
Did not cope with Eureka raid level and was pretty much carried.  His stepping down to casual was a relief to Will and others.
Do not know about his history in Eq.

Bottom line, might do an awful lot better with DMR than he did during his brief sojourn with progress guilds.  Has certainly got more raid experience than your typical applicant to DMR, but this could be good or bad depending on how he uses it.

I can confirm he was in Righteous: my old post which states he has joined Righteous is in the forum archives: http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=16458&highlight=sheryl (Oct '06).
He also did join Prometheus, I remember seeing him in there.

Dedicated and loyal but pretty slow learning curve   .... sounds a bit like me

I would say give him a trial as our healer camp is down to 3 who are active. If his skill level is just to low and *cant* be fixed or hes not inclined to improve then its a no. If its somthing we can improve then yes

I would like to see his reply to jims post tho before fully deciding

I guess what im saying is he a nice guy or not :D
